Daily and relentless use of these applications amplifies average power usage. ◾ Accelerated Resource Depletion: AI's acceleration of the production process leads to increased consumption of goods, contributing to planned obsolescence. Planned obsolescence involves creating products that become obsolete quickly, speeding up resource usage and depletion. ◾ Inequality-Driven Environmental Hazards: Global progress in robotic advancement is lopsided, with a few countries (China, the US, South Korea, Japan) using more than half of the global stock of robots. The best companies will retrain those affected. We'll reduce repetitive stress injuries. We've been automating for 100+ years. But as Becky explained, the human element is even more important than technology. The idea that “the more you automate, the fewer people you need” is not true, Becky said.
