Day 63 of #100DaysOfCode Study ⏰ 4+ Hours 👉 Babie's first hackathon 🐥 👉 Barbara Oakley's: Learning How-to Learn Course ✅ Hackathon - Day 1: Was super fun got to meet some really interesting people and so far I think our idea is to create an emergency response system for elderly and/or disabled peoples. More specifically, a system that sends out alerts to family members, neighbours, authorities, or any designated 'alertees'. These alerts will send out based on fire alarm, CO2, thermostat, hydro and motion sensors. Still fleshing out some ideas but tomorrow we'll fine-tune it. ✅ Learning How-to Learn: (Quick, bullet-point summary because I need to go to bed and get my rest for day 2 of the hackathon!) I made a bionic flower for my mom on Mother's Day 🌹 Here's what it (and 3 hackathon wins) taught me about building projects in 24 hour timespans. 🧠 BRAINSTORMING: Start researching ideas ahead of time. This will save several hours of deliberation during the hack. ♻️ REUSEABILITY: Integrate working concepts and paradigms from previous projects. Don't reinvent the wheel every time. 💪 FLEXIBILITY: Stuff will go wrong and ideas don't always pan out. Excited to share my experience at the KLA hackathon a couple of months ago! Together with my amazing team members and Varsha, we took part in this 24-hour hackathon with the theme "Technology in Education for Inclusivity." Our goal was to create something impactful and meaningful, and after brainstorming, we came up with the idea of building an AI chatbot for ADHD kids, tailored to their specific needs with customizable age options. The hackathon was an intense and exhilarating experience! We faced challenges, pushed our limits, and learned so much in such a short span of time. Throughout the event, we collaborated seamlessly, leveraging each other's strengths and skills. It was a fantastic team effort! We supported and encouraged each other, and together we achieved something truly remarkable. I'm proud to say that we successfully completed the project and published in Github, and it was incredibly rewarding to see our AI chatbot in action, integrated prompt perfect API and GPT-3.5 LLM's API to finally create the chatbot. I want to express my gratitude to KLA for organizing this hackathon and providing a platform to showcase our creativity and innovation. It was a great learning experience, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it. 🎊 Delighted to share that I recently participated in a Hackathon: VHACK hosted by Volvocars🎊. Our Team opening presentation slide said: "Hackathon is a chance to Think Big and create something Amazing - Drew Houston". As per above saying, would like to share that it was actually an incredible experience where I collaborated with the talented team to tackle the problem statement given to us and successfully derived towards the amazing solution. It was the 2 day coding event followed by the presentation on the final day (3rd day) of the hackathon. There were 6 teams in total and 3 challenging problem statement. Together, all the teams brainstormed, coded and presented innovative solutions to the problem statement in front of the Jury. There were certain pre-defined parameters on which the team had to give the presentations on. It was 2 days thrilling experience with non-stop coding.
