June marks Caribbean American Heritage Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Caribbeans and Caribbean Americans to the society, culture, and economy of the United States. Meet Desmin, Global Programs Manager at Interval International. Born and raised in Jamaica, she moved to the U.S. in 2001. To this day, Desmin keeps a close relationship with her island home and continues to travel back once a year with her family. "To me, Caribbean Heritage Month is a meaningful time for reflection, celebration, and education for individuals with Caribbean roots," she shared. "Caribbean Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate the rich adverse cultures of the Caribbean."
