Had a great visit this week to our high-performance experts at various locations in the UK.    First stop was the dream-car production facility in Coventry where our Mercedes-AMG ONE hypercar is built. This truly amazing vehicle brings our Formula 1 hybrid technology from track to road almost one-to-one.    We have learnt a great deal during the development and production of the ONE, which also has an impact on our series production vehicles. High-performance electrification, intelligent power management, thermodynamic efficiency are just a few areas where we have made significant progress thanks to the ONE. Likewise, the advanced low-volume production process is also delivering many valuable learnings.     Stop number two, not far away in Brixworth, was Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains (HPP). As well as building the hybrid powertrain for the ONE, they are also responsible for developing and producing our Formula 1 power units. These include not only the one for our Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team racing cars but those for McLaren, Aston Martin F1 and Williams, too.    The team there was also closely involved in the development of the powertrain for our VISION EQXX technology programme, so I took the opportunity to brief them on its latest efficiency drive through the Arabian Desert.    Last but definitely not least, I called in to see our high-performance electric motor subsidiary YASA in Bicester. It was great to see the excellent progress the folks there are making on innovative axial-flux technology. Lots of exciting developments in the pipeline!    Whenever I visit our R&D teams around the world, I am struck by the sheer bandwidth of their work – from hypercars to super-efficient electric drives. From advanced software to next-generation renewable materials. And yet, at the same time, it is always crystal clear how closely interlinked and networked this work is.    My heartfelt thanks to all our teams worldwide who make this happen.     #MercedesBenz #AMGONE #EQXX #LeadinInnovation  [AMG ONE | Energieverbrauch gewichtet kombiniert: 17,7 kWh/100 km plus 9,9 l/100 km | Kraftstoffverbrauch kombiniert bei entladener Batterie 14,6 l/100km | CO₂-Emissionen gewichtet kombiniert: 224 g/km | CO₂-Klasse gewichtet kombiniert: G | CO₂-Klasse bei entladener Batterie: G]
