Brewing beer is an ancient craft, but there's nothing ancient about #Carlsberg-Group's operations. The company uses GitHub Copilot and the rest of our platform to accelerate development while staying secure. The team uses a combination of machine learning and analytical chemistry to predict beer quality to ensure their processes create the best possible products.Carlsberg uses GitHub's entire platform to accelerate development while staying secure. "With GitHub Copilot I'm saving about 50% of my time, and that's time I can I use to do other innovative things for Carlsberg," says developer João Cerqueira. Humanity created the wheel and fire. AI is the next fundamental tool to accelerate human progress—in software and beyond. With GitHub Copilot, we are building on that tool to enable 1 Billion people to use natural language in software. The fact that I get to lead GitHub’s Product team through this new era of AI is something I could never have imagined when I first started in dev tools over 20 years ago. It was an honor to discuss how my team thinks about product development in the age of AI, how we can lower barriers with free education and natural language, and of course, all things GitHub Copilot on the MIT Sloan Management Review Me, Myself, and AI podcast. Give it a listen if you want to learn more about our approach to AI innovation (spoiler alert–AI is more empathetic than you may think…)! https://lnkd.in/eQufxhHZ

To help create 1B developers, we must rethink the entire experience and primitives that we have today in development and shipping products. I am incredibly excited about this new future where natural language takes center stage.
With AI, the most powerful system we have — our human language — is now fused with the language of a machine. And very soon, for over 1 billion people on this planet, building software could be just as simple and joyful as stacking a Lego. Check out my TED Conferences talk below, featuring a live demo of GitHub Copilot Workspace. May the floodgates of nerditude swing wide open.

Today, we’re launching GitHub Copilot Extensions to bring the world’s knowledge into the most widely adopted AI developer tool. Copilot just got a whole lot bigger. Thank you to DataStax, Docker, Inc, LambdaTest, LaunchDarkly, McKinsey & Company, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, MongoDB, Octopus Deploy, Pangea, Pinecone, Product Science, ReadMe, Sentry (sentry.io), Stripe and all future partners. And it's just the beginning. Over the coming months, we’ll expand this ecosystem through the hundreds of partners that have already signed up for the Copilot Partner Program. Together, we will make GitHub Copilot the most integrated, powerful, intelligent AI developer platform on the planet. All so any developer, in any natural language, can access an ecosystem of knowledge right within Copilot, and build to the fullest expanse of their own creativity. Let’s build from here. https://lnkd.in/eT4gDyzP

Today, we’re announcing the GA of GitHub Copilot Chat in GitHub Mobile–creating a world where developers can build on the go in natural language. By launching chat on mobile we are paving an avenue to a new way of working for the world’s developers. We are now far less bound to our laptops or stationary machines, enabling a freer flow of reviewing, approving, learning and creating software the go. After leading the GitHub Copilot team, today is also my first GA as the new Head of Product GitHub. And this underscores the vision Thomas Dohmke and I share: we will strengthen the GitHub platform, and make GitHub Copilot ubiquitous wherever the developer is on GitHub. Ultimately, with our Copilot-powered developer platform – and our latest advancements like Copilot Workspace – we will enable a world with 1 billion developers, building from wherever they are. This is the future of software development. And I will work every day to enable this new horizon. Let’s build from here. 🚀 https://lnkd.in/eSutZVzP

To create a future with one billion developers on the planet, we must constantly challenge our current views and workflows. Today, we are introducing a Copilot-native developer environment. A radically new way of building software with natural language. With an experience where the human is always at the center. Join us in the Technical Preview.
What started out as an autocomplete pair programmer is now redefining the developer environment and experience itself. Welcome to GitHub Copilot Workspace: The Copilot-native developer environment – a place for all to create with code instantly in natural language. Within Copilot Workspace, developers can now brainstorm, plan, build, test, and run code in natural language. This new task-centric experience leverages different Copilot-powered agents from start to finish, while giving developers full control over every step of the process. All this taken together, Copilot Workspace will empower more experienced developers to operate as systems thinkers, and materially lower the barrier of entry of who can build software. We’ve constructed GitHub Copilot Workspace in pursuit of this very horizon, as a conduit to help extend the economic opportunity and joy of building software to every human on the planet. Welcome to the first day of a new developer environment 🎉 https://lnkd.in/exnZdF7H

With GitHub Copilot, we have revolutionized how market-leading customers like @StubHub, @Figma, @Carlsberg Group, @ReadMe, and @Etsy increase code quality while helping their developers be happier and more productive. This is the future of software development innovation, and it’s available today. We’ve built the world’s leading Copilot-powered platform with customer obsession top of mind, and I’m proud to see this coverage of real business outcomes in @bloomberg-news by @dina-bass and @jackie-davalos-53646128: https://lnkd.in/e7nfXKsZ (edited)
