Our dedication to sustainability extends beyond environmental responsibility; it encompasses the ethical treatment of collaborators, aligning seamlessly with our core values of respect, inclusivity, and social responsibility. On this International Day of Human Rights, I invite the Nemak team to reflect on the significance of this matter and recognize how each individual contribution can collectively impact and continuously enhance the environment in which we work. #Nemak #Innovativelightweighting #HumanRights

Your support feels like a strong espresso on a Monday morning - much needed and highly appreciated. It's like I'm on a mission to shake up the corporate world, challenging norms and adding some extra spice.
- DEI stands for diversity, equity and inclusion. - These are the values that guide our business and brand identity. - We believe that by fostering a culture of awareness and respect for different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences, we can create a more innovative, productive and sustainable organization. ## Our DEI initiatives and practices In this blog post, we will share some of the initiatives and practices that we have implemented to promote DEI in our workplace and in our interactions with our customers, partners and stakeholders. Some of these initiatives include: - Creating a DEI committee that oversees and monitors our progress and performance on various aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion. - Providing regular training and workshops for our employees on topics such as **unconscious bias**, cultural competence, allyship and inclusive communication. - Developing a hiring and retention strategy that aims to attract and retain diverse talent, and to ensure fair and equitable compensation and career development opportunities for all. - Engaging with our customers, partners and stakeholders through surveys, feedback sessions, events and social media to understand their needs, expectations and experiences with our brand and products. - Supporting and partnering with local and global organizations that advocate for social justice, human rights and environmental sustainability. ## Our benefits and challenges We will also highlight some of the benefits and challenges that we have encountered along the way, and how we are continuously learning and improving our efforts. ## What is unconscious bias? Unconscious bias is the tendency to make judgments or decisions based on stereotypes, assumptions or preferences that are not based on rational or factual evidence. Unconscious bias can affect how we perceive, evaluate, interact with or treat others who are different from ourselves. Unconscious bias can influence our hiring, promotion, performance evaluation, teamwork, customer service, leadership, innovation and creativity. Unconscious bias can be reduced by becoming aware of it, challenging it, seeking feedback, diversifying our exposure and perspectives, and creating inclusive policies and practices.

We are all equal! - MKT is committed to diversity, respect and tolerance The current situation in our country and the rise in extremist statements and actions fill us at MKT with great concern. As a management team, we believe that the success of our company and Thuringia as a business location as well as the jobs of every single person in the region are at risk. As an internationally active family business, it is therefore time for us to show courage and take a clear stance on the current situation. In our company policy, the “M” in MKT stands first and foremost for human beings (="Mensch" in German) and respectful cooperation. We consciously encourage and promote the diversity of different cultures and see cooperation with people of different world views and cultural backgrounds as an enrichment. We strive to integrate people with a migration background into our company and offer them a secure job. We sensitize and train our employees, work together hand in hand, learn from each other and see the individual person. It is important to us that people who work with us feel accepted and comfortable. That is why we do not tolerate xenophobia! For us, everyone’s individuality is a sign of strength and we see diversity as an opportunity to grow beyond ourselves. Thanks to our branch offices in France and North America and close cooperation with our sales representatives in Poland, Italy, Lithuania, Australia and Latin America, we export our products all over the world. People from 9 different countries work closely together as colleagues in our production halls and administration at the Ohrdruf sites. This makes up almost 20% of the total workforce, without whom we would not be able to maintain production. Every day, we treat our employees, business partners and customers with respect and acceptance, regardless of their origin. For us, this is a basic prerequisite for successful cooperations and joint growth. Unfortunately, there are groups of persons in this country that try to exclude people. We clearly distance ourselves from any form of discrimination, hatred, exclusion and other extreme ideas. We therefore see it as our duty to raise our voices and appeal for more altruism and tolerance. We want to strengthen social cohesion and, as an open-minded company, advocate a free society. Let us therefore stand up together for peaceful coexistence and focus on humanity. Because everyone is unique and every person matters! #statement #democracy #humanity #tolerance #respect #diversity #courage #individuality #altruism #openminded
