We're delighted to announce a new global partnership with Jinko Solar Co., Ltd., that will see the brand become the Club’s Official Solar Energy Partner 🤝
BIG UP Solar Power and Solar Thermal! My company in Hawai'i, Safe Water Systems, invented Solar Water Pasteurizers, community safe drinking water products that provide 1000 liters a day per one solar thermal panel. This is sufficient for 500 to 1000 people in a village, school, hospital, etc in off grid parts of the world.
Amortized cost at USD 50 cents per person PER YEAR, with a 30 year+ life span, and no moving parts or operating costs.
We put systems in 15+ countries, so always happy to see Solar Panel technology (thermal or PV) being developed, promoted and spread throughout the world.
So BIG UP Manchester City Football Club & Jinko Solar Co., Ltd.
Aloha from Honolulu, Hawai'i!

Decarbonization in island nations depends on long duration energy storage deployment.
The technologies are ready now to take most fossil fuels out of the energy equation on islands.
The economic and social benefits cannot be overstated. Less pollution and lower cost energy for everyone.
Hear more about how long duration energy storage is changing the energy equation now from our Director of Technology and Markets, Gabriel Murtaugh at this event with the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance.

On behalf of the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance and in partnership with Long Duration Energy Storage Council (LDES Council) I look forward to moderating Gabriel Murtaugh, Director of Markets & Technology for LDES where he will be covering topics on real-world applications of Long Duration Energy Storage; exploring the technologies, best practices, and success stories behind LDES projects. The session will provide participants with practical insights into the implementation of LDES and its transformative impact on the energy sector. Feel free to join this Wednesday morning MNL time.
Big companies such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Santander and Vale are investing in their own power generation plants in Brazil, mailing using solar energy.
In addition to ESG benefits, these firms are managing to reduce their energy costs too.
According to data from Brazil’s solar power association Associação Brasileira de Energia Solar Fotovoltaica - ABSOLAR, from 2012 to 2023, more than 164bn reais (US$33.5mn) was invested in solar energy in the country, resulting in CO² emissions reductions equivalent to 42.3Mt.
That landscape is highly positive for companies like Array Technologies, which manufactures solar trackers that guide photovoltaic panels towards the sun.
The general director of the company in Latin America, Vinicius Gibrail, speaks to BNamericas about the solar power market.

From the beginning, Stracker Solar's focus was to develop a pole-mounted solar solution with a small physical footprint that provides significantly higher energy output per solar array than traditional PV systems. Now, 6 years after our humble beginnings, the robust and reliable Stracker solar trackers have been chosen by communities and businesses as the most efficient solar energy platform available.

We have further expanded our solar pipeline in Northern Europe, with the acquisition of a 400MW portfolio of early-stage projects in Poland from developer IBC Solar ☀
This follows last year’s acquisition of circa 500MW of early-stage solar PV projects, also in Poland, from local developer Optisol.
Taken together, the two solar portfolios bring our prospective pipeline of solar projects in Poland to 900MW 🇵🇱

In June, Orkestra users assessed 75,000 potential solar and battery solutions, via 3,688 model runs, across 350 new projects!
To give you an indication of how big a deal this is - up until last year there were only 1,700 solar projects installed ever in Australia in the commercial and industrial segment (the 100kW to 5MW solar category - our segment of focus)
And June isn't an outlier month. We've seen sustained growth in projects assessed via Orkestra since we launched last year.
We're only expecting the C&I solar category (and our usage growth) to keep going gangbusters, thanks to commercial power price rises and net-zero action plans kicking in.
See for yourself why so many leading energy and solar companies are turning to Orkestra to give them an intelligent edge. Go to www.orkestra.energy and start a free trial.
As the solar industry has become more complex with commercial and utility-scale installations, the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) reports that cost savings from PV module and inverter innovations are diminishing. Hence, the industry is focusing on balance of system (BOS), which includes a solar installation's physical and electrical infrastructure. In fact, Panduit has partnered with EPCs and solar installers to provide expertise on optimizing a solar project's physical infrastructure.

Battery energy storage (BESS) is integral to any large-scale renewable energy program.
Southeast Asian nations have ambitious plans to expand solar energy capacity and grid upgrades to power their growing economies sustainably. The challenge lies in affordability to consumers and investment returns to investors.
A modular system supports scalability, rapid deployment, performance and safety considerations. These, in turn, support investment risks and returns and long-term asset strategies.

We are excited to announce we will provide VIElectron its first installment of battery energy storage solutions (BESS) to six solar parks strategically positioned across the U.S. Virgin Islands. Upon completion, the solar array and BESS will help boost the islands’ decarbonization efforts by fulfilling 30% of its energy consumption through renewable sources.
