Teamwork is essential in cricket, just as it is in any team sport. Even when every player excels in their skills and performance, teamwork remains critical for several reasons. In cricket, when every player performs exceptionally in all departments and combines their efforts cohesively, it maximizes the team's chances of success. It's not just about individual brilliance but also about how well the team comes together to achieve its common objectives. Today a high-voltage match between India and Pakistan in Ahmedabad showed great teamwork and quality of leadership skills from Rohit Sharma. A terrific all-round performance from Team India. Captain Rohit Sharma led from the front and dominated the Pak bowling attack from the word go to make it an easy affair for India. The powerful Indian batting lineup never looked in any trouble against Pakistan's much-talked-about pace battery. It's 3 in 3 matches for India in this showpiece event and they have the momentum they need to surge further. The Indian cricket team's loss in the Cricket World Cup final is a tough pill to swallow. The cricket final outcome may have left us with a heavy heart, but it's essential to recognize the outstanding performance and pride that "TEAM INDIA" has brought us throughout this remarkable season. It's a reminder of the sport's unforgiving nature, where a single day can alter a team's destiny, overshadowing the triumphs of an entire tournament. A tournament, that lasted for over 3.6million seconds. In the business arena, however, the game is different. Our success is not a result of momentous events but a continuous effort, a daily grind that shapes our destiny. Being absolutely selfish, today, I am indeed feeling a little fortunate that I am not into sports. Because unlike in sports, where one moment or one day can seal a team's fate; in business, we can bank a lot on the journey. WHAT DID WE LEARN FROM YESTERDAY'S MATCH? We all are happy for India's win , isn't it? But it can't be denied that throughout the match, our heartbeat experienced all emotions. From seeing India about to lose to make a legacy-carrying historic win after 17 years, we did see everything. This match was not just any Final, but a Final to be learnt from. Highlighting some learnings from my direction-seeking boat of perception: 🇮🇳 NEVER LOSE HOPE even when all have lost hope in you. Our Indian cricket team serves as an example. They still had hope when 140 crore Indians did give up when SA had to score just 26 runs in 24 balls!!! 🇮🇳 Always TAKE DECISIONS WISELY. Every run, every wicket, every catch, every ball mattered yesterday. Somewhere, we all have a captaincy spirit-like Rohit Sharma in us which needs to be candled on. 🇮🇳 BE LIKE VIRAT KOHLI. He couldn't perform well throughout this T20 World Cup but his patience and belief made him yet again the title-achiever "Player of the Match". 🇮🇳 Don't forget Surya Kumar Yadav's catch of Miller which was a turning point. Similarly, one day GRAB THAT CATCH which life shall be throwing at you, and you will be shooting stars. 🇮🇳 Try becoming like Jasprit Bumrah, who plated and GARNERED EVERY INDIAN'S HOPE on his shoulder. Carrying the onus of 1.4 billion aspirations and still giving the best is not easy. The list is long enough to be written the ode to. The remembrance of holding India's earned World Cup trophy, the emotion of the Indian soil, upholding the Indian tricoloured-flag in itself speaks a lot. (P.S.: Similarly, the journey of our sweat, tears, hard-work, dream-carrying eyes, struggles will also fetch our long-awaited dreams. THEY WAITED FOR 17 YEARS, CAN WE NOT WAIT FOR OUR DREAMS?)
