Whatever you do, sometimes it is good to go back to the fundamental theories and the big picture. I just participated in the #OptimumG - Advanced Vehicle Dynamics Seminar. Besides refreshing the theoretical background of a lot of theories and concepts that I apply when taking care of chassis topics for a customer, I also gained tons of new impressions and knowledge to improve a vehicles kinematic and driving performance. Combining usefulness and racing feeling - that's possible with our seat box. It decorates our new common room and invites to try it out. The seat box is a car simulator, where you sit and drive in a simulated environment just like in a real car. Our seat box is equipped with original Audi parts - from the steering wheel to the seat and the pedals. Opposite the seat unit is the large screen plus computer on which our simulation tool runs. With the seat box, situations or maneuvers can be redefined and also tested again and again. All employees should have the opportunity to test and experience our self-developed and latest ADAS function. For example, how the vehicle brakes in a dangerous situation or avoids accidents. But it's not just about the pure fun factor. #MercedesBenz announces the launch of our production-ready version of DRIVE PILOT in the United States. DRIVE PILOT, the class-leading system for conditionally automated driving rolls out in late 2023.
