This International Women’s Day, women from Lumenis' headquarters stepped into the classroom to #inspireinclusion by sharing their personal and professional journeys with high school students. The initiative, which took place during the annual Israeli Girls’ Week, is part of our on-going collaboration with Shavot - שוות-, an association that promotes positive self-esteem and a sense of competence among girls. Volunteers from various departments within Lumenis gave lectures on topics ranging from responsible use of AI technology to tips on building a personal brand. Several presentations touched on the issue of girl participation in science, technology, engineering & math (STEM). The students were a great audience and asked lots of interesting and challenging questions! Thank you to our hosts at ORT Yokneam - Shimon Peres High School and to all our volunteers for spending the day with the next generation of leaders and innovators building an inclusive environment of equality and empowerment. When we inspire inclusion, we set the stage for a future that knows no bounds! #lifeatlumenis #wemakeanimpact #weempowerpeople #GenderEquality #InclusiveWorkplace #shavot #שבועהנערההישראלית

Celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Today, February 11th, we stand together to honor the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a day set aside by the United Nations to celebrate the indispensable roles that women and girls have played—and continue to play—in the fields of science and technology. Today is a powerful reminder of the progress we've made towards gender equality in science, as well as a prompt to address the ongoing challenges. On this day of reflection and action, I extend my deepest admiration to my friends and colleagues, the remarkable women in the tech and scientific communities. Your resilience, innovation, and excellence have not only led to transformative discoveries but have also laid the groundwork for future generations of scientists, engineers, and innovators. Let's also remember the trailblazers who have shattered ceilings and paved paths in their quest for knowledge and innovation: * Marie Curie, whose groundbreaking work on radioactivity opened new frontiers in science and medicine, earning her Nobel Prizes in both Physics and Chemistry. * Ada Lovelace, the visionary mathematician who is celebrated as the first computer programmer, laying the groundwork for modern computing. * Rosalind Franklin, whose expertise in X-ray crystallography was crucial in deciphering the structure of DNA, a milestone in genetics. * Grace Hopper, a pioneering computer scientist whose innovations in programming languages have shaped the digital world. * Katherine Johnson, whose precise calculations for NASA missions were vital for the success of the space program, as highlighted in the film "Hidden Figures." * Chien-Shiung Wu, a physicist whose work challenged fundamental theories and expanded our understanding of the natural world. These women, among countless others, have demonstrated that gender is no barrier to making significant contributions to our collective knowledge and well-being. Their legacies inspire us to continue advocating for a more inclusive and equitable world in science and technology. Let us use this day to celebrate achievements and to creating a world where women and girls in science are the norm, not the exception. I am thrilled to participate in the 9th International Women in Science Day, celebrating the achievements of women who have made significant contributions to the world of science. This day serves as a catalyst for promoting diversity and inclusivity in science, emphasizing the importance of creating an environment where women are encouraged to pursue careers in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Currently, only 22% of women are in Artificial Intelligence, highlighting the need for increased representation. Today, I had the honor of presenting to a class in Palo Alto, sharing insights into my professional journey, why I entered the field of science, and how I established my business in the Bay Area. The discussion revolved a lot around AI technology, including questions about ChatGPT. Empowering the next generation of female scientists is crucial. Initiatives that provide role models and showcase diverse career paths aim to bridge the gender gap in science, and I am proud to contribute by bringing my piece to the puzzle. By sharing success stories, best practices, and challenges, the international community can collaborate to create a supportive and encouraging environment for women in science. If you have any questions about Women in Science and Entrepreneurship, feel free to reach out by sending a private message. Let's continue the conversation and work together towards a more inclusive future for women in STEM. #WomenInScience #STEM #DiversityInScience #EmpowerWomen #science #ai #innovation #technology #entrepreneurship GlobalReach BI

🌟 Celebrating International Day of Women and Girls in Science! 🌟 Today we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a day aimed at promoting full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls. We use this as an opportunity to highlight the issues women face in science: ❌ Gender biases and stereotypes affecting opportunities and recognition ❌ Lack of women role models and mentors in certain fields ❌ Balancing family responsibilities with career advancement ❌ Unequal access to resources and funding With very few or no women working in the space of quantum development, our aim is to ensure that all voices are heard and represented in our field. So, everyday, and today in particular, we celebrate all the girls and women who have broken the barriers and continue to contribute to science. 🏆 Our message to all the aspiring young women interested in quantum development is simple: you belong here, your ideas matter, and your potential is limitless. We encourage you to pursue your passions fearlessly, break down barriers, and pave the way for a brighter future in science and technology. 🌟 Let's celebrate the achievements of women scientists past and present, and let's continue working together to create a more equitable and inclusive scientific community for generations to come. 💫 #GirlsInScience #QuantumDevelopment #DiversityInQuantum #WomenInQuantum #InternationalDayOfGirlsInScience

On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, let’s reflect on how we can close the gender gap in #STEM fields. Providing opportunities for women and girls to achieve their full potential is key to empowering them to shape the future of these fields. As Nicole Dezen aptly says, when we close these gaps, we make STEM more inclusive and powerful than ever before. #WomenInSTEM #GirlsInSTEM
Yesterday was International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This day, established by the United Nations in 2015 recognizes the critical role women and girls play in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). It’s also a great reminder to consider the ongoing challenges and barriers that persist for women and girls in STEM fields. According to UNESCO, only 30% of the world’s researchers and 35% of STEM students in higher education are women. We can change this by creating more opportunities and support for women and girls in STEM. We are experiencing one of the most transformative periods of innovation and advancement in our industry, and now we need to ensure that we have broader representation as we embark on the era of AI. Together, we can bridge the gender gaps, champion diversity and inclusion in these fields, and empower women and girls to pursue their dreams and achieve their full potential. https://lnkd.in/gMYSb8Ja #WomenInScience #InternationalDayOfWomenAndGirlsInScience

Happy International Women's Day! As a woman in STEM, I believe that diversity is strength. In a field as dynamic and complex as quantum computing, the need for diverse perspectives is not just beneficial—it's essential. When our teams have diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and areas of expertise, we can help illuminate others' blindspots and inspire a sense of innovation among the whole team. To all the women in STEM, and especially to those in quantum computing: I see you. You're changing things in the field, and you're making a difference by showing other women and girls that they too can succeed in this industry. #WomenInSTEM #InternationalWomensDay #QuantumComputing
