Las Vegas – CES 2024 After 3 days of full immersion in technology and the future, which this edition saw us as Bonfiglioli supported by the precious coordination of “Confindustria Emilia Centro” and Accenture, I return to “business as usual” with many ideas and reflections. In a context of always enormous participation in this event, compared to pre-pandemic editions, the focus is now very much oriented towards well-being and healthcare, to support inclusiveness and the careful use of critical resources such as water and air. The EUREKA Park, a competitive arena for thousands of start-ups from all over the world, shows many applications for these areas while glasses (beautiful, glamorous and easy to wear) confirm themselves as the new smart device to focus on; they can translate, transmit music, record, chat… all without isolating you from the world and its perception. Mobility is interconnected, electric (also hydrogen) with autonomous driving systems almost for everything, with attractive lines also for the world of heavy duty and... surprise... even in smart working/remote control. Strong presence of South Korea (both among the big players and among the debutants), limited presence of Chinese companies and large presence among the start-ups of France and many European countries, including Italy (the only one that is not very evident in the start ups from the big industrial countries is Germany). And everywhere: Generative AI like salt… To sumarize: 🔝🔝🔝to be here! It is certainly the most energetic and effective way to start and face 2024! 😉👋🏻

Happy New Year Everyone! As we look forward to an exciting and eventful 2024, I also want to share my highlights from 2023. It started off with a huge career milestone event at CES 2023 with the unveiling of Project Arrow, the largest industrial collaboration in Canadian automotive history, for which I proudly led the partnership effort. It was and it was also a great way to close out my innovation leadership efforts for our world-leading #AutoTech ecosystem. This work was a great platform to launch my new career journey with Vector Institute as I lead our collaborative work with our mobility and industrial innovation portfolio affectionately known as " #planes , #trains , and #automobiles ." The first 7 months were action packed and featured: - Organizing events with our Trade Commissioner Service | Service des délégués commerciaux to promote Canada's #AI ecosystem to the world. - Hosting AI leaders and government officials from around the world including #Germany, #SouthKorea, #Japan, #Taiwan, and the good ol' USA. - And arguably the biggest event was going to South Korea to meet with corporate giants and, as shown in the pic herein, to represent Vector and speak GSMA APAC M360 Conference. For 2024 I look forward to many things: - First and foremost, working with the great people here at Vector as we lead the world in #ResponsibleAI development. - Hosting global companies with TCS, Invest Ontario , and especially our friends Toronto Global - Leading more innovation activities in #advancedmanufacturing including #robotics - Welcoming new partners to Vector, both large corporations and #startups Most importantly, I look forward to continuing to partner with the AI leaders Air Canada , CN , EllisDon , Linamar Corporation , Magna International , and Thales (Urban and Main Lines Team). There is much that needs to be done to maintain Canada's leadership in AI...and we will go further and faster together. Our CEO had the unique opportunity to interact with leading experts, to draw inspiration from their insights and to debate the future challenges we are ready to face together.
