❓ “What paths do graduates take”? is one of the most frequently asked questions, especially for our ProTeam Trainee Program. We asked Ann-Katharina, who recently graduated and is now successfully taking the next steps in her career as Lufthansa Cargo Manager Production Support! In this position she is responsible for the continuous development of all handling processes and the production strategy. Anna-Katharina wraps it up with her own words: “For me, the ProTeam stands for new opportunities, chances to think outside of the box, leaving your comfort zone, experiencing different departments and cultures, and getting to know many interesting people. Living and working in Tokyo for 3 months, getting a small glimpse into the live of a crew member, and finding a passion for logistics are just some of the many things that made my ProTeam time that much more memorable.” All the best for our trainees and kudos for Anna-Katharina Groschinski. #ProTeam # #ExploreLufthansa #LufthansaGroup #OurPeopleAreOurBrand #TraineeProgram

One year strong🎉 Today marks an important milestone for me- it’s been a whole year since I joined the incredible team at Customs Wise. Started here as an Intern and swiching as an intern to a full time employee, fills me with gratitude for the amazing experience, challenge, and opportunities I’ve encountered along the way. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Vidushi Dahiya Erica Masterson and Frank Donohoe for believing in me and helping me out whenever I faced any trouble and helping me with the trainings. This has been a roller coaster ride with a lot of learning. Moreover, getting placement at Sealand Global Logistics helped me broaden my knowledge and experience. It was wonderful working with such a great working environment and super friendly colleagues, who helped me throughout my journey. Here are a few of the most significant learnings that have shaped my experience: 1. Embrace change: I was super nervous when I started, since it was my 1st job after studies. In a dynamic work environment, adaptability is key. I’ve learned to embrace change with an open mind, seeing each new challenge as a growth opportunity. 2. Continuous learning: The pursuit of knowledge doesn’t end, and in customs everyday is a new day of learning. 3. Work ethics and Discipline: Success is often the result of hard work and discipline. Cultivating a strong work ethic has enabled me to deliver results, exceed expectations, and earn the trust of my colleagues. Looking forward, I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead and am committed to continuing my growth and making even greater contributions to the team✨✨ Here’s to another year of learning, growth, and success!🚀 #workanniversary #oneyearstrong #oneyear #careerjourney #grateful

Let your professional and personal journey take off in the Lufthansa Technik StartTechnik Trainee program! ✈ In addition to exciting projects and individual development opportunities, our StartTechnicians particularly appreciate the buddy program. Buddy pairs are assigned even before onboarding so that you can contact the respective buddy with questions even before starting work. During the onboarding phase, the new generation of trainees gets to know their trainee alumni buddies. Whether it's about professional challenges or personal concerns, the buddy is always available and offers a trustworthy point of contact. Maja from Generation 28 and Kirja from Generation 25 make up one of our buddy pairs. What does Maja particularly like about having a trainee buddy? “I can talk to Kirja about anything - both professional and personal topics. Its a luxury to have someone at work who you can always turn to, no matter what it is about.”💙 #LufthansaGroup #ExploreLufthansaTechnik #OurPeopleAreOurBrand #StartTechnikTraineeship

The innovation we would like to introduce today are the LEAP1 A and LEAP1 B engines. What makes their use at Lufthansa Technik so special? ✈ These engines are characterized by multiple innovations - they result in a 15% reduction in fuel consumption, leading to a simultaneous 15% reduction in emissions. Additionally, compared to their predecessor models, these engines are about 50% quieter, marking a revolution in noise reduction. Even our interns regularly have the opportunity to work on exciting innovations. Our intern Syuen shares the enthusiasm for the LEAP engines: "It's a unique opportunity to experience the innovations of a new engine generation like the LEAP firsthand and actively participate in the development of repair procedures, which deeply fascinates me. This experience provides the opportunity to witness the progress in the aviation industry firsthand and actively contribute to shaping the future of mobility." #InnovationsAtLHT #ExploreLufthansaTechnik #LufthansaGroup #OurPeopleOurBrand

It was nice meeting up with Ms. Saw Ann Ping in person for the first time and participating in a work experience sharing session in KLIA Sepang with the Airbus Protégé team. There is so much rapid changes (especially Technology) and uncertainty in today's world, and the youth; Gen Y and Z are finding it more challenging to navigate with confidence and clarity a roadmap to success. Malaysia has an abundance of high potential young talents but in their development too much has been placed on academics and theoretical knowledge and too little on the human element or touch and real world practical applications. More and more industries prefer talent who have both a balance of education and street smarts, for which many local universities are still struggling to produce. There is much improvement to be done in the Human Resource Management and Development sphere by educational institutions here, and success can only be achieved in collaboration with the industry players. Talents are relevant and employable when a holistic and continuous improvement development approach is taken and all stakeholders are involved in the process. Today there still exists pockets of silos and each acting autonomously from the others. Talent creation is a collaborative effort of all parties so if the involved players resist change, their survival and existence in the coming years will be at stake. To the Airbus Proteges, all the best in your individual endeavours and chosen career paths..

Have you ever heard: “Working abroad was a waste of time”? I have only heard the opposite! At Mercedes-Benz, we offer our vocational trainees the opportunity to gain international experience through our Training goes Global programme in cooperation with Erasmus+. In 2023, we were proud to have 25 vocational trainees take part in the three-week programme. Each group visited a different country and experienced different working cultures and practices, from a vocational school in Finland to Mercedes-Benz production sites in Romania at Star Transmission & Star Assembly, Italy at Mercedes-Benz Italia and Slovenia. Once on site, the participants gained insight into training-specific projects - from office work to testing an excavator simulator. It is always nice to see, when trainees seize opportunities, gain new experiences, think outside the box and broaden their horizons by working abroad. At Mercedes-Benz, we're committed to fostering this spirit and providing our trainees with many opportunities for personal and professional development. In today's VUCA world, the value of such development cannot be overstated. What about you: What are your experiences of working in a different cultural setting?

Learning on the job! ✅ Waaaay back in 1999 when I was a young logistics trainee ... Part of my traineeship program was riding with one of the drivers that I dispatched. First trip i took, was a round trip from Copenhagen, Denmark to Oslo, Norway in this cool truck! I learnt first hand what the drivers go through, living out of the truck, delivering 4 partial loads of freight, reloading with freight back to Denmark, and dealing with the warehouse team members in person! It was extra cool, because I myself had built the loads we delivered in Norway! Great experience that helped create a complete understanding of FREIGHT! How many of you that work in trucking today, have also had the privilege of an experience like this? #alwaysbelearning #freight #trucking #logistics

🌍INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE🌍 From March 11th to 15th, I had the privilege of participating in my international week in Woluwe 🌍. This unique week allowed me to meet students from all over the world, thus enriching my network and my application of the English language. During this week, we participated in the "CESIM Global Challenge" 🚗💼, a simulation of the international car market of fascinating complexity and scope. During this challenge, we immersed ourselves in a universe where each round represented an economic year 📆, pushing us to adapt our strategies and anticipate market fluctuations to ensure the success of our company. In total, we went through 10 rounds 🔄, each bringing its set of challenges and learnings. Teamwork was crucial to successfully complete this experience, so it allowed me to improve my team spirit and discover how a team could function in an international and economic context 🤝. This experience allowed me to thrive, not only through the knowledge gained but also through the connections made with my peers 🤗. The "CESIM Global Challenge" was a great opportunity to apply my skills, challenge myself, and grow, both professionally and personally 💪🌟. Thank you to everyone present for this week. I am eager to apply what I learned during this international week in my future career 💼🚀. #CESIMGlobalChallenge #InternationalBusiness
