It's great to see the LCCPS Afro-Caribbean Percussion Ensemble in The Lowell Sun today! Students were proud to perform at the annual ceremony for the Living the Dream Partners Award Jan. 15, 2024 at Taffeta in Lowell on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Our #LCCPSLeaders performed "When the Saints Go Marching In" and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," and others. How amazing is this artwork featured on the walls of the Unified Arts wing of LCCPS? So amazing, in fact, that we are proud to share that it was selected to be showcased at the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's new office in Everett! These pieces were selected because they illustrate the theme “The Joy of Learning.” Created collaboratively, they show the vibrancy of our school and the power of the arts to inspire. Congratulations to our LCCPS artists and art teachers Mr. Giacobbe and Mrs. Oruc. With your support we will have a 20/20 Onsite Mobile Vision Center visit our school this winter and provide eye exams and eye glasses to students in need.
