Most people sense that we’re in deep trouble with climate breakdown - 74% of adults in the UK are concerned about climate change. They want to do something, and many have already begun. But doing it on their own can sometimes seem an impossible task - we all feel too small to make the change alone. But the majority is a powerful force. How can we unlock this? How can we leverage the power of the majority and bring climate action into the mainstream where it belongs? One thing for sure that we need more of is courageous advocacy and radical, creative collaboration. The Climate Majority Project (CMP) was established to do just this. It is UK-based organisation aiming to support a climate-concerned majority of citizens to respond in meaningful, relevant ways to the climate and ecological emergency, catalysing a widespread shift, already underway, towards mainstream climate action and, ultimately, system change. The Climate Coaching Alliance is focused on how coaches and the coaching profession enable leaders to accelerate mainstream climate action. So as part of the Climate Coaching Alliance's next "seasonal heartbeat" of collaboration events, we will be convening an event with CMP to explore what we are all learning about how to bring the climate and ecological emergency into the heart of business, politics and life.
