The vertical integration opportunities make TEAM extremely unique. With sites that provide converting, molding, coating, and assembly this combination ultimately allows TEAM to expand our capabilities, our business opportunities and ultimately “Help Those Who Help Others.”  What’s unique about you? I started my career in the Aerospace 〰️✈︎ Industry as an engineer and ultimately in Program Management. I supported the development and launch of aircrafts such as the 787, A350 and Joint Strike Fighter. What is your favorite productivity hack? My favorite productivity hack is simply communication.  When you can pick up the phone, have a quick Teams call or meet in person to discuss a problem live, you move the needle much more quickly than simply sending an email. The constant change 🧩 Everything moves – and we are moving too! 🌊 Still, the transformation in the automotive industry is ongoing. Nothing seems to be set in stone – everything moves 🧱 New product solutions are in development and with that we need to prepare ourselves for new associated #technologies and #processes. Especially in the last weeks we faced the situation that things are moving even faster and faster 🚀 For us in the MANN+HUMMEL #prototyping area a quite challenging situation. And this on a global scale. Everyone around us is expecting, that we have already answers for product or process solutions available - and by the way, for things we never saw or never explored before 🎈 But this exactly is one of our biggest strengths 💪 But not only products and designs are changing much faster, in line with this trend the #manufacturing technologies are as well strongly influenced by #innovation, #digitalization and #sustainability ♻ This means we need to adapt ourselves as best as possible for the #future. New requirements which need to be considered are sometimes differ dramatically from what we are used to. Therefore, we are currently preparing a new production layout and in the next days our transition period will start ▶ Information and #communication are key in this #change process. That's why our colleagues were informed transparently in all phases and were asked to provide open and honest feedback about the shared activities 💬 This will make sure, that the team will have a high buy-in and therefore we could expect that we will have a high accepting rate when the new layout is realized 🆕 In the prototyping area this is getting a quite normal thing. This type of changing process we’re facing in a frequency of about all 2 years now. But indeed, also this frequency is becoming more and more shortly 💫   I’m convinced that we have found the right answers for this next change. As always 😊 Do you see a similar development? Entering new markets or releasing new products in the #unmannedsystems industry is easy right? 👇 Every situation is different, but I leverage my decades of engineering, business development and customer interactions to help Clarify Consulting LLC clients using roughly this process.. 1.   Current Capabilities and Roadmap. Understand what we have to work with. What capabilities are on the roadmap? What are your strengths and weaknesses? Who are the current and target customer base? What investment capital is available for development? All important questions to frame next steps. 2.   Identify Customer Needs and Pain Points. This is done through a combination of market research, customer interviews, and possibly surveys. The goal is to understand the specific challenges that customers are facing, how much they might be willing to pay to overcome and how potential new capability can help them be successful. Determine what the #solution is to the hard problems. 3.   Market Awareness. What is available in the market already to meet this need? Who are the companies well positioned to solve this problem. Understand the competitive landscape. 4.   Concept Refinement. Create use-case descriptions, requirements and performance capability storylines and then circle back to gain some voice of customer (VOC) to evaluate if we have hit the nail on the head. Refine, iterate and repeat as needed until ‘good enough’ to begin physical development. 5.   Validate and Demonstrate. It is critically important to test the new capability in the wild, in the use-case where your customers are experiencing challenges. Again, iterate as needed. The goal is to ensure that the system meets the needs of your target customers in their challenging environment. Get out there! Some tips I often suggest. ·      Focus on a specific niche initially. It’s a busy fast paced #drone world out there.  The more specific you are about your target market and their needs, the easier it will be to get customers attention and adoption. Can go broad once you have some traction. ·      Get feedback from customers early and often. Involve customers in the development process, and post-sales process to get their feedback on your system to ensure that you are on the right track. Build relationships. ·      Be agile and responsive. The #unmanned systems industry is constantly evolving, so it is important to be #agile and responsive to changing customer needs.
