Last week we wrapped up the final of 2023 ASMs in our New York and London offices. Our ASMs are an opportunity for reflection and celebration, and set the tone for the new financial year ahead. As well as KPI-based awards, we also announce the recipients of our ACE awards (our Chairman's Awards). ACE stands for Attitude, Collaboration and Effort - these are not necessarily the top billers or more senior members of the team, but award the most improved and those that demonstrate Levin's values, day-in, day-out. A huge congratulations to our UK & USA recipients for 2023: ⚡ Elle & Erica from our New York team ⚡ Nick, Sanjit, Perrin, Joseph & Hiral from our London team #LifeatLevin #agm2023 #cultureawards Nick George Jamie James

This award celebrates companies that have completely rewired their strategic, operational and financial strategies, reshaping the way they work for a bigger, brighter future. How did we get here? Interesting talks Creative Industries Property Summit (CIPS) today in King's Cross. Opening speech from Sir Peter Bazalgette "The creative sector reaches the parts that other sectors don't reach " There was some strong challenge to his comment about the idea of creatives coming into an area, being priced out and having to move on as being positive and natural.Yamin Choudry Joint CEO + Artistic Director Hackney Empire & Errol Michael Henry said No! Let's work with creatives, let's Co Create spaces with them that support their ambitions and to nurture their creativity. Artists will make something from nothing, but they shouldn't have to. Errol asked "How do you regenerate an area? Do something in the area you can't do anywhere else. People will have to come there to do it." Rehana Mughal from the British Council emphasised the need to talk to people before the concrete is mixed. Absolutely! She asked "Are we building streets to prosper or building communities to thrive?" On collaboration Collaboration has to be intentional. We must always ask, what are the community getting out of the spaces that are being created? Education. Education. Education. We must individually and collectively deliver education through our work. Promote the creative industries and built environment careers with opportunities early on for learning. This is very important. The key to sustainability but also vital to increasing inclusion and diversity. Patricia Brown MBE says Culture has a social value. 100% Professor Rebecca Madgin spoke about people creating emotional attachments to places and asked, how can we nurture these rather than destroy them through development and regeneration process. Enjoying the day so far. Would be positive to see more ethnic diversity representation within panels and delegates next year. Let's see what the afternoon panels bring to the table. But first, lunch!
We've assembled a star-studded lineup of industry leaders and visionaries to share their insights on the future of collaboration and growth at #CIPS2024. Diversity and Excellence - Embrace them! I am thrilled to be part of an organization who not only speaks about excellence, partnerships, and diversity, but also lives them every day. The Fitts Company Inc. recently published a post that highlights the significant strides we're taking to create a workplace where differences are celebrated and inclusion is embraced. It is inspiring to see how our company is committed to creating an environment in which every voice and perspective is valued. This is a great example of how we're not only about business but also about creating a team of professionals that are united in their pursuit of excellence. Our collaborative spirit is reflected in our emphasis on partnerships. This is what drives our innovative projects. I am proud to be an employee of a company that values diversity. Our diverse backgrounds, experiences and viewpoints help us be creative and approach problems from different angles. This inclusive mentality benefits us not only internally, but also our clients and partners. It enhances the solutions and relationships we build. We must continue to promote these values, and let's spread the word that excellence and diversity are a winning combination. The Fitts Company Inc. is to be commended for doing more than just talking about diversity. Together we are creating a more inclusive, brighter future. I'm excited to see how far we can go! #excellence #partnershippower #diversityandinclusion #proudemployee #inclusiveworkplace

CEO at Rockit. Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2022. Startup Entrepreneur of the Year 2021, DBT Export Champion, Product Designer and Guest Speaker
Awards ceremonies are a bit like buses You wait for ages for one then 3 come along at once. In the last week Rockit have been to 3 excellent awards. Last week was the The Spectator Economic Innovator Awards and then on Tuesday it was the Progressive Preschool Awards at lunch time, swiftly followed by The Lloyds Bank British Business Excellence Awards in the evening. Let me tell you it's not easy eating 2 three course meals in quick succession! For some people and some businesses, awards are not really their cup of tea and that's fine. I personally love them for the following reasons: 1. Win or lose it is a great opportunity to meet new people and make connections. At all 3 awards my table was packed with really inspirational businesses and people and I loved finding out what they did. 2. It's an opportunity to let your hair down with your team (cue embarrassing video) and celebrate the successes together. You often don't get chance to reflect on and celebrate achievements during the average busy week at work. 3. Whether you are a finalist or a winner getting on the shortlist of awards is a real achievement and it can be PR gold-dust for a small start-up or a much bigger established business. What are your thoughts on the value of awards? #awardsceremony #awards2023 #BBEA20223 #PPSA2023
