Offer letter signed for a start date today, January 8th…. UPDATE 1/11/23 - I never would have imagined that so many of y’all would see this post and show so much support. It’s given me and hopefully others HOPE to be a company’s green flag! I love the whole consultative cycle in sales, but if there are separate roles of BDR and AE, I am open to both! I love closing sales, but also love forming relationships to build on! Remote roles are what I’ve been in since 2020 and I love them because it opens up all of the US! Located in Houston, yeehaw! Days later, the offer letter was rescinded for my sales role along with others. The company decided to not hire any more employees at this time. I have had 4, yes 4 layoffs in a row. This is not me walking away from a role with nothing in place because I’m “bored”… this is 4 times on unemployment which means in fact I did not quit or get fired for not doing my role. I had an interview where she told me I was a red flag, so now I have on my LinkedIn and resume exactly why I am not an employee. Employers, please think sometimes it IS a company and their internal changes and not always the employee. I don’t want the basis of my interview to be on this issue anymore, so therefore I have updated this area and luckily it has not been an issue. I’d love to catch y’all up on other interviews, but that’s another post. Companies - Please remember candidates are “real people” with real goals, bills and lives. While we might be a number to you, we are our own persons trying to navigate this unknown territory - Please be respectful to candidates and their time, even if you don’t see yourself hiring that person. Qualified candidates including myself spend hours researching your company and role. Candidates - YOU are worthy of your experiences and skills to land an amazing opportunity. - YOU also have the right to make sure the company that is interviewing you, is what will meet your needs. If anyone has leads for Sales Reps, BDR or AE please let me know. My roles since 2020 have been remote as well as my latest based from home and weekly travel. I have full confidence in myself I will find the fit for me and a company will get to utilize my skills and oh so vibrant personality… until then, we stay positive and focus on things that make me better in life.

🤔"If you don't build your own dreams, someone else will hire you to build theirs" -Tony Gaskins It's so true, isn't it? As recruiters we are in the business of helping people build their dreams. We help job seekers to find the right positions for them, that can help them get closer to their career goals. But it's also important to remember that we need to build our own dreams, too. We need to stay focused on our own professional objectives, stay up to date on the latest trends and develop our skills to stay sharp. That way, we can continue to be successful recruiters and bring value to the companies we work with. It's important to stay motivated and keep working towards our goals. As recruiters, we have the opportunity to be a part of the journey and help others build their dreams too. #quoteoftheday #recruiting #dreams

Executive Director of Place, Mental Health & Primary Care: RMN,Blogger,Ally: BSW Integrated Care Board
It’s been a while since I have posted anything on here but this one has got to me! Please indulge me just this once……😄 I often get these “ exciting opportunity” emails from recruiters asking if I would be interested in a role that is basically two or three levels below the one I am in. Now, I am not saying that no one ever considers that, but it looks like someone has just sent out a blind mail shot to hundreds of potential applicants in the hope that some will bite?? Maybe people like me are considered “collateral damage,” however is this not just lazy recruiting?? Or is it that recruiters have so much on their plate, they don’t have time to do targeted searching anymore? #recruitment #people #jobsearch #headhunting #opportunities #debate

In today's dynamic business landscape, resilience is the unsung hero of career journeys. Recently, I came across the story of a dear friend who, due to unforeseen company layoffs, has faced four career transitions in a relatively short span. While some might see this as a red flag on a resume, it's crucial to understand the broader context. In today's ever-changing economy, even the most skilled professionals can find themselves navigating uncharted waters. These experiences are not a reflection of the individual's capabilities but rather a testament to their resilience and adaptability. As global leaders in the staffing industry, we often encounter exceptional talents who have faced similar challenges. It's vital for hiring managers, to recognize the value that these individuals bring to the table. Each layoff represents an opportunity for personal and professional growth, showcasing an ability to weather storms and emerge stronger on the other side. I invite my network of industry professionals to share their insights on this matter... 💡 How do you approach candidates with multiple layoffs? 💡 What qualities do you value most in a candidate who has navigated such challenges? Let's engage in a meaningful conversation to better understand and support our fellow professionals. Together, we can redefine how we view career paths and build a more inclusive, understanding hiring culture. ✨ #CareerResilience #HiringInsights #GlobalStaffingLeadership #eTeamOneTeam #contingentworkforce #BEthechange #engagementstrategies

Managing Partner @ Tiello II Building Teams for Tomorrow in the AEC Industry 🏗 I Coach, Train, and Hire Top 1% Agency Recruiters
Economic slowdowns shape the best agency recruiters. Because that’s when they know they have to work 10x harder. And the ones that can’t or aren’t willing to do so, will get exposed. And once the market settles, the ones that got through the storm and succeeded will thrive. Making this a long-term and rewarding career. Simply because they were willing to work harder when it was required. It’s sometimes as simple as that. Follow: Dante N. #sales #recruitment #staffingagency #constructionjobs #tiello
