Dharmesh practically minted a unicorn in his 30 yrs careers. Notes: See the network effect of working on a path. First 10yr - 10M, Next 10yrs - 1B, Next 10 yrs - $30B. 2. Harder things have least competition & huge rewards. Be it if you are on C-Suite path, wanna be next C-Suite - Pick differentiations , hard problems. 3. Talent vs skills. Anything needed can be either talent - you naturally have it or - can be built as skills. 4. Large companies get entropy - Which is equivalent to death of business. Leaders must fight entropy in companies. 5. Choosing Enterprise/Consumer/SMB AI Enterprise AI is hard, sales cycle are long - but the revenue are also too big. SMB are even harder, revenues are low and there is no uniformity in market. Consumer AI is risky. You can be a top notch company or you are unknow mediocre. And it can be trumped by Big tech. Recently I had the opportunity to meet, learn and grow with the best of the best at the Scale Venture Partners Pipeline Conference. The amount of insight shared was incredible—truly a treasure trove of takeaways! Great work Craig Rosenberg for bringing us all together! Here are some highlights from the event: From the Marketing & BDR Council hosted by Lisa Horner, Kristina McMillan and Maria Pergolino We gained valuable knowledge on diagnosing and planning monthly with the larger group of stakeholders. 💰 Pipeline councils are essential! We focused on understanding why we are losing deals so we can fix those issues. 🗺 I particularly enjoyed the presentation on storytelling journey mapping, differentiating to win, and delivering value efficiently. Keynote Speaker Chris Degnan Chris shared strategies to energize your GTM team. Define productivity, drive towards that metric, and hold people accountable. Keep generating leads and booking meetings without stopping. He emphasized the importance of building your professional services arm and diving into SI partnerships, especially in the international market. ❄ As a Snowflake partner, Fivetran is dedicated to our GTM strategy, and these tips motivated me to do even more for my team. SDR Land - What's Changing ✍ AI is transforming the game, but effective use is crucial. Emails are now primarily for brand awareness—drive traffic to your website and let it handle the selling. Marketing - What's Hot Now 🌶 Looking ahead to 2024, the focus is on conversion rates, owned media, brand, SEO, product marketing, performance marketing, and community events both online and offline. In summary, I never stop learning, and these events are my absolute favorites - also great for networking catch ups!
