We are thrilled to unveil our latest research paper on career expectations! 📈✨ Key highlights include: 🔹 Belgian employees attach great importance to relations with colleagues and supervisors. They have high expectations towards the social atmosphere, communications with colleagues and cooperation. 🔹 Career development is the primary reason for leaving an organisation. Trust in management and workplace culture are considered the second and third reasons. 🔹 In deciding to join an organisation, financial factors play the most significant role. 🔹 44% of Belgian job seekers actively look for organisations that are recognised as good employers. 51% are more inclined to apply for a position in an organisation with a label. In terms of retention, 56% of Belgian employees are inclined to stay longer at a company that is recognised as a good employer 🤔 Interested to read the report? 👉 We got you covered: https://buff.ly/4aJKmjF Felien Lison, Dirk Buyens

🌍 Four out of five workers globally don't have desks, and nearly half are searching for new jobs — not just for a higher salary but also in hopes of feeling more appreciated. 🏁 Meanwhile, the tech industry is busy tweaking corporate communication by a mere 0.0000000001% more efficient. Is that really the priority? 💡 We zero in on what really matters. Sure, providing your team with the right tools can increase efficiency (and yes, we'll definitely save you heaps of time), but more importantly, it's about boosting engagement and ensuring your employees feel truly valued. 🌟 Interested in how Udext can transform your internal communications? SUBSCRIBE YOUR COMPANY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FREE eNPS SURVEY! https://lnkd.in/dChvyKap Amid The Great Resignation and the threat of recession, employee retention has become a critical challenge for companies. From July to November 2022, over 4 million Americans quit their jobs each month. Gartner predicts that turnover rates could reach as high as 24% in the coming years. A primary reason for this exodus is the feeling of disrespect at work, cited by 57% of employees who quit in 2021. This includes issues such as a lack of transparency in decision-making and inappropriate behavior from leadership. To combat this, executives need to rebuild company cultures based on trust, inclusivity, and fairness. A positive work environment can enhance productivity, attract high-quality employees, and improve retention. Studies indicate that companies with highly engaged employees can achieve 21% higher profitability. Four actionable strategies to create a healthy workplace culture and boost employee retention include: Actively Listening to Employees: Companies should regularly solicit and act on employee feedback, demonstrating that their voices matter. This builds loyalty and ensures that concerns are addressed promptly. Offering Clear Opportunities for Advancement: Lack of advancement opportunities is a major reason employees leave. Providing clear career progression paths and valuing continuous learning can significantly improve retention. Focusing on Company Culture: A positive, inclusive company culture is crucial for attracting and retaining talent. Involving employees in defining the company's mission, vision, and values can create a more engaging and supportive work environment. Having Fun in the Workplace: Encouraging fun and social activities can strengthen team connections and boost creativity, engagement, and purpose. This is particularly important for virtual teams, where creative virtual events can help build camaraderie. References: Kelliher, C., Teeman, M., & Denyer, D. (2022).
