Most food delivery markets in Southeast Asia experienced very modest, low single digit growth, with the exception of Vietnam, where total GMV grew almost 30% despite cost controls from almost all the players. It is also important to note that in the Philippines, there is a significant market of food delivery operated by quick service restaurant chains. While that market is not in the scope of this report, we estimate the size to be close to ⅓ of the total platform GMV in the country. Amongst food delivery platforms, Grab continues to gain significant market share in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, as well as in Indonesia - the region’s largest market. ShopeeFood, which has received little attention from outside because of the larger ecommerce battle Shopee is fighting, actually grew the most (almost ⅔); while LINE MAN in Thailand also recorded double digit growth. Business Growth. 2 weeks ago, I have met up with my Lazada Key Account Manager. Lazada is a platform where they heavily invested in machine learning. Personally, I find it difficult to navigate on the platform. However, due to my work nature, I needed to understand the fundamentals of this platform so that to help my brand to see how we are widely accessible when it comes to coffee machines. As a premium coffee machine brand, the challenging aspect of it is how to be sustainable and see the growth of the industry in marketplace. Hence, I have decided to meet up with the KAM to discuss about what’s next for us. Looking at 2024 outlook, the economy outlook will be even more challenging but at Nespresso, we will be striving to bring the best experiences to our customers. 1wI’m very upset about chatting with online service agents requesting deactivation of my account 2 times due to my Lazada account has been hacked, till now, my account is still there. I called call center, waiting for 5mins and still not able to talk to anyone. Even online chatting, I have to wait for a long long time to be able to connect to one of service agents. During my last conversation with the agent, she said rest assured my problem can be solved at least 3times, but my account is still there. Who can help me and is this kind of service level acceptable?
