New publication on the vNOTES technique for umbilical hernia repair! This is the FIRST case study of an umbilical repair performed by vNOTES. Case report: • Patient (50-year-old woman) had a successful surgery that included a hysterectomy with bilateral salpingoophorectomy, and umbilical hernia repair via vNOTES technique. • Total surgical time was 100 minutes. • Total blood loss was less than 100ml and patient was discharged the next day. Conclusion: vNOTES is a new surgical innovation that will open a new door to a scarless access into the abdominal cavity for different intra-abdominal procedures such as reproductive, colorectal, upper abdominal cavity (sleeve, GB,hernia) and urological procedures.
