💡 Broadening horizons with scientific research findings Our colleague Selina Lehmann attended a research seminar at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research (ENI) of the Universität Stuttgart The topic of this seminar was all about #collaborating with startups including #challenges and best practices. Juliane Möllmann, PhD Student at the Aarhus University in Denmark, presented her findings from dissertation projects on corporate-startup collaboration. In particular, we took away the following three key learnings: 👉 #Open #innovation contests with startups are a powerful tool for finding solutions. 👉 Problem framing is key – too broad or too narrow can compromise results. 👉 Know your #stakeholders involved in the process and their interest. “We regularly incorporate research findings into our work to optimize our internal processes. The MSAO Future Foundation recently presented the Collective Incubator at RWTH with the 2023 Century Engineering Award. 👍 The Collective Incubator is a co-innovation platform that sparks interactions and ideas between students, researchers, founders, and companies, promoting entrepreneurship and a spirit of innovation at RWTH. A total of 250 teams work on innovative product developments and business models on-site. The Incubator offers students a space to shape innovation, network, and access different specialist areas. "We are very proud to be able to tackle a new milestone in the history of the Collective Incubator with this award. Quick insights from our recent participation in the AC21 Legacy Symposium hosted by Stellenbosch University alongside esteemed partners from the Universities of Freiburg (Germany) and Strasbourg (France). This symposium provided an exceptional platform to spotlight the dynamism of our entrepreneurial community. Led by our Operations and Community Officer, Nadine Brink, the LaunchLab visit was nothing short of captivating.
