Observational studies use real-world data (RWD) from claims and electronic health records to enhance our understanding of medical product effectiveness. RWD complements clinical trials by providing insights into: 🎯 Medications for All: Assessing effectiveness across diverse populations (age, ethnicity, health conditions). ⏳ Long-Term Effects: Monitoring patients over time for long-term safety and effectiveness. 💼 Real-World Practices: Understanding how doctors prescribe, and patients use medications daily, improving treatment guidelines. While RWD doesn't replace clinical trials, it aids decision-making for researchers and healthcare professionals, improving patient care standards. Curious to know more? DM us now! #HEOR #RWE #RWD

Today we celebrate all who participate in, and partner together to conduct, quality, efficient, relevant clinical trials. Clinical trials provide the evidence for what works for whom, when, and the safety of those interventions... helping to improve understanding of disease, diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of health conditions. Clinical trials are increasingly complex, and highly regulated, expensive research activities. We thank the clinicians, researchers, data managers, statisticians, funders, consumers, governments, health systems, companies, research institutes, ethics committees, suppliers and more who play a role in delivering these trials and protecting those that take part in them. Trials wouldn't however be possible without the hundreds of thousands of people that take part in them globally every year, putting their bodies on the line, with hope in their hearts for better outcomes - if not for themselves, then for those that come after. We see you all. Today, on international clinical trials day, we encourage you to take a moment to reflect on what healthcare looks like when we don't know the answers, and encourage you to find a way to say thank you to anyone you know who has been/is part of trying to find those answers through clinical trials. #ICTD24 #CTD24 #clinicaltrialsday #clinicaltrialsmatter #whyclinicaltrialsmatter #research #changinglives #changinghealthcare #clinicaltrials PS. Be one of the first 100 today (May 20) to purchase one of our #origamisunflowers to thank a trial participant (made or in kit form) and receive a 50% discount using the code ICTD24. ⏰ **The Significance of Timing in Healthcare** In the intricate dance of life, timing reigns supreme. The timing of a clinical encounter sets the course for factors downstream. Although the importance of timing has been highlighted before, it's equally crucial to consider the timing and the access and quality of information received during these clinical encounters. Navigating the wealth of clinical data, prioritizing guideline-related care, and staying anchored in evidence-focused practices become paramount amid the clinical noise. The pivotal question emerges: Where and how do clinicians access the information that governs their clinical processes? Recognizing that early access to Physical Therapy is key, the true gold lies in early access to high-quality PT. This distinction underscores the critical role of precise timing and access to robust, evidence-based information in shaping effective healthcare outcomes. ⚖️🌐 #PT #MSK #rehab #data #EBP #HealthcareTiming #EvidenceBasedCare #ClinicalExcellence

Patient preferences are an essential component of the patient voice and subsequent use in #patientcentered clinical decision support (PC CDS) can advance patient-centered care. As PC CDS continues to advance, it is vital that the understanding and incorporation of patient preferences continues to progress in tandem. A new report from the #AHRQ Clinical Decision Support Innovation Collaborative (CDSiC) includes a taxonomy, which provides an organizing framework and six domains for patient preference information most relevant to PC CDS. The report also highlights remaining knowledge gaps and outlines a research agenda to enhance the field’s understanding of incorporating patient preferences into PC CDS: https://ow.ly/5ce750PsnJ7 (Prashila Dullabh, Rina Dhopeshwarkar, Priyanka Desai, PhD, Sarah Hoyt, MPH, Elizabeth Cope)
