In an interview, SAP CEO Christian Klein reassured customers about SAP’s cloud strategy and discussed using gen AI as a migration accelerant. “All business models, across all industries, and especially in Germany, are undergoing fundamental changes,” Klein said. “That’s why I advise against simply replicating old processes into the new software world, or just hosting the ERP upgrade. It’s about more essential topics such as process standardization and the definition of new business models. And above all, it’s about making these innovations, which ultimately keep companies competitive and productive — or sustainable, accessible and usable.” #sap #cloud

What Differentiates SAP’s Generative AI From All the Rest? The Quality of Its Data SAP CEO Christian Klein said at SAP Sapphire in Barcelona that the company’s Joule generative AI platform has “access to the broadest B2B data model in the tech industry.” Klein said Joule is ready for “prime time” and will enable 20 percent more productivity and higher quality of performance. “There is no need, like other tech companies, to build an AI use case and manually integrate it into a business process,” Klein said. “One in 80 percent of the world’s transactions are somehow processed by an SAP system – so guess what? We can embed the AI, the intelligence, right into the business process. So no customer needs to do anything custom, to apply AI because we embedded it in our solutions and the customers get the immediate benefit.” #SAP

SAP CEO Christian Klein said at the Sapphire user conference that by the end of this year, 300 million SAP users will adopt the Joule AI assistant as the primary way they engage with SAP applications. According to Cloud Wars’ Bob Evans, “a transformation of this magnitude will mark SAP as the unquestioned leader in the enterprise space for AI-led computing.” Evans said Klein is “making a stunning promise grounded not so much in what SAP will do, but rather in what SAP’s customers will be persuaded to do to make themselves smarter, faster, and more opportunistic.” #SAP #AI
