Unfortunately, over the last several years, the industry has been weighed down by robotics companies that are essentially operating as retail investor scams, with their executives constantly grifting their investors with frivolous and misleading press releases with nothing of actual material substance accomplished. Sharing some additional perspectives on ZeroEyes recent Series B round led by Sorenson Capital with participation from Intel Capital, BroadLight Capital, and existing investors: ✅ Not going to sugar coat it - 2023/2024 has been a very tough raise environment... execution and top tier performance metrics remain the number one differentiator. It's awesome that the ZeroEyes team has been executing from Day 1 and remains laser focused on delivering the world's best #weaponsdetction platform to end users. ✅ #Venturecapital and #growthequity in this space are getting much better about sniffing out bullshit - if your marketing hype doesn't have proof points to back your solution up, you're going to have a rough time. Anecdotally, this was a recurring theme across seasoned #securityindustry and tech finance firms. ✅ Finding the right investors with strong convictions in your team, your vision, on the fundamentals, and the product roadmap remains paramount. The active assailant insurance market in North America is quickly evolving. It is accelerated by three critical movements: ⚠ Legislation + Regulatory requirements + Insurance requirements ⚠ ✅ Every public-facing organization in the United States faces strategic risk of an #activeshooter or #workplaceviolence incident. California's recent law (SB 553 - link here: https://lnkd.in/gGaZgYnF) will almost certainly be replicated across many more states in the coming years. ✅ Future regulatory actions, focused around #artificialintelligence combined with security and surveillance systems will compel organizations to adopt proactive and meaningful capabilities designed to comply with duty of care legal obligations. This will start within the public sector but will quickly cascade over into commercial markets. ✅ Insurers will be much more aggressive in helping their clients buy down strategic risk of active threats.
