Building bridges and strategies at the international Sales Meeting in Malente! 🌞🌅 Kendrion IAC came together at our most northern location in Germany for an engaging and insightful 2-day sales meeting. Colleagues from all over the world came to the Baltic Sea, including from Sweden, the Netherlands and the USA to share updates and exchange information on current technologies and projects. The adventure continued with geocaching in the afternoon, followed by a delightful BBQ in the evening. These activities helped strengthen our connections and ensured everyone had a fantastic time. 🔍🍽 We also took a small trip to the Baltic Sea with some colleagues from Austria and southern Germany, who experienced the Baltic Sea for the first time. We are now more motivated and prepared for the exciting projects ahead. Really grateful to now have spent some time in Gothenburg this week. When did we Germans become such pussys, collectively? From a recent project: let’s launch this new service in Germany. German Head of Sales: no, we can’t, we have these and those problems with our dealers and can’t risk to annoy them more. Fallback: let’s launch in Netherlands. Dutch Head of Sales: yeah, we have the same problems as the Germans, but it’s a fantastic opportunity to go to market together and learn something that will benefit everybody, also our dealers! 🤯 How can the same situation be perceived so differently? When did we Germans - collectively - decide to become pussys and never risk anything anymore? And how can we break this vicious cycle? How can we excite people for change, for risk-taking and ultimately for an even better future?

One week in at Arctic Wolf and I am blown away by the focus on our partners here. Every Sales Rep on our team I've spoken to has asked, "how can we work better with partners", "Here are the gaps I see, how can we address for our partners?" etc. It's a partner first, partner-led, partner only mindset. This is the way of the future (and should have been the way of the last 20 years). Your partners hold the keys to your top prospects. They know the projects, they know who else is in the customer's Near Bound Network, they understand what the customer's needs are. Arctic Wolf lives and breathes this partner-first strategy and, in my humble opinion, will be our biggest differentiator coming into our FY25. Pumped for my partners to feel the love!

As sales professionals, we're no strangers to the idea of embracing challenges head-on. Yet, there's one obstacle many of us face when venturing into new territory: the fear of sucking at something new. Let's face it, folks - we've all been there. Whether it's mastering the art of video presentations or diving into a new skill set, the initial phase can be daunting. But here's the reality: You need to embrace the fact that you suck. Why? Because sucking at something is the first step to becoming good at it. Think about it: when you first picked up the phone to make a sales call, did you nail it on the first try? Probably not. But with practice, you honed your skills and became the confident closer you are today. The same principle applies to any new endeavor, including incorporating video into your sales toolkit. Sure, it might feel awkward at first, but every stumble is a step towards mastery. So, to all my fellow sales reps who feel like they suck at video - rejoice!
