SO MUCH TO UNPACK HERE....LOVE IT I'm sure there will be some to debate this message. But those that pay attention to the pulse of their organizations know...attitude is everything. Sure they need skills. That goes without debate... but how many of us have hired a skilled person with an awful attitude? Employees leave because of attitudes...but they also stay because of attitudes!!! I'll let you sit with that one. Which attitude do you want in your organization 🤔??? Together we rise 🙏🏿🙏🙏🏽🇺🇸❤️

Some new managers look to hire their own contacts when they start a job, unfairly pushing out great workers. But when we oversee people we didn't hire (or even difficult to fire), we're forced to step up in service to our employees. We get in a position to get to know them and their motivations and needs. We get to build trust with them so we can work together toward our goals. Discover how to transform your work culture (or department culture) — so you can get results without becoming a dictator or giving up everything you worked for: https://lnkd.in/eXiTzbiD

Some hiring managers are unbelievable! They are downright disgraceful and condescending. They treat you like a number on a spreadsheet without respect for your background or desire to work. The increasing dehumanisation of the Human Resource function is a trend that needs to be addressed. They should understand the gravity of their position and the impact their actions have on the lives of the people. They should bring back empathy in their role and treat people with the respect they deserve. #hiringmanagers #hiringculture #jobhunting

What I uncovered when hiring is that when we tried a one-size-fits-all, talent-checks-all-the-boxes approach, it didn't work for us. But when we focused our hiring on the distinct value that an individual brings to the table, it changed everything. I believe there is a purposeful place for every unique skill. It’s worth the effort of trying to understand what unique skills the individuals on your teams have.

If someone went up to any employee in your company and asked them what the vision for the company is, do you have faith that they could describe it as well as you could? If each employee held a mental picture of a preferred future, a destination, do you think it would increase productivity and energy, and decrease turnover?
