Fractional Leader in Planning & Analytics⚡Driving Profitability in Consumer Goods and E-commerce | Top Retail Expert | Board Member
Ever heard of price pack architecture? 😯 It's just a fancy term for how brands bundle items into different sizes to tempt you to buy more. Brands Love Bundling! You'll see this all the time at the grocery store: big packs for families and smaller ones for solo shoppers. There's a pricing strategy for each size and its target consumer. Want an item on the go? You pay more. Need enough for a party? You save. In apparel, this strategy often appears in bundles. Buy several items together and you get a discount. Brands love it because they can expand their assortment, boost conversions, increase AOV and do it all without developing anything new. ________________________________________ 👋Hi there, I’m Bellamy, fractional advisor in planning, buying, & analytics for consumer good companies + founder of the Retailytics™. Strategic Steps to Launching a Successful Clothing Brand in 2024 As we enter spring, it's prime time to craft a comprehensive strategy for the inception and growth of your clothing brand. However, for those venturing into the fashion industry without prior entrepreneurial experience, setting tangible goals can seem daunting. Instead of simply stating desires, such as "I want to earn 300,000$," it's imperative to translate these aspirations into actionable plans to ensure they materialize into reality. When embarking on the journey of launching a brand from the ground up, it's advisable to refrain from setting strict financial targets within the initial 2-3 months. Unless opting for resale or pre-order models, setting realistic goals becomes paramount. Let's delve into the essential milestones required to establish your clothing brand within a four-month timeline: First Month: Strategize your promotional approach by evaluating marketplaces, Instagram presence, offline versus online stores, and defining your niche. Develop a financial blueprint for the launch, considering factors such as batch size, pricing strategy, and production costs. Second Month: Focus on procuring the perfect sample of your envisioned product and solidify agreements with production partners for the initial batch. Initiate the tailoring process to ensure timely availability of inventory. Third Month: Utilize this period to assemble a foundation for promotional activities. Engage in content creation, including photoshoots and crafting compelling marketing materials. Additionally, concentrate on packaging design to enhance brand identity. Fourth Month: Commence sales activities as your products become available. Implement promotional strategies to gauge market demand, adjusting production volume based on response and budget considerations. Would you be interested in exploring a practical example of a financial model for launching a brand? Understanding the allocation of resources across each stage can provide valuable insights for a successful debut. Let's delve deeper into this aspect to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of the launch process. #FashionEntrepreneurship #ClothingBrand #BusinessStrategy #FashionIndustry #Entrepreneurship #MarketingStrategy #BrandDevelopment #StartupJourney #SmallBusinessTips #LinkedInLearning

Something B 2 B companies struggling to get to the next level of growth/ brand awareness misunderstand is the concept of creating consumer demand. Pre-selling clients with well designed and informative marketing is not just 'a good idea', it's a basic necessity with newer generations. I see it so often in bridal: brides are shopping for who is advertising to them. In most cases the designers have more marketing resources available than their suppliers (boutiques). Vast marketing to their target market creates a demand for their styles and brand name, as opposed to just a dress. The stores that carry a heavily marketed line become a destination for the clients, and in turn both the stores and the designer win when the pre-sold bride says "yes!" On the flip side, I also see the designers and brands who only focus on selling to stores. To be a successful brand, you want product to move by having a strong demand. When you only focus on creating business with suppliers to assure their purchase of your product, you risk stale inventory and short term relationships. The winning formula is really A to C (Advertising to the Consumer)...when you perfect this, a product becomes a brand. #entrepreneurship #entrepreneur #bridal #womeninbusiness #fashionindustry #b2b
