Troubadour, Speaker & Community-Catalyst | ⭕️ Accelerating Community & Upgrading Culture through Music

People describe what I bring to a space very differently… I listen attentively. I had known about Katapult Future Fest for years; its reputation for being a vibrant space where people in impact investing and systems change got things done with a good dose of fun. So, I was naturally excited when Ida Faldbakken approached me to be part of this year’s edition. We asked ourselves what we could do to make people feel more human, to allow vulnerability, authenticity, and creativity to flow more freely. In that pursuit, I made many new friends and learned to dance with them… Kasper Björk Borg, Dumi Right, Garance Choko, Lili Jassemi, Dr., Jenny Grettve, Tasmin Vosloo, Anine Willums Karp, Gigi Bat-Erdene, Natalie Bridgette Becker-Aakervik, Britta Gruenig, Professional Certified Coach, Tharald Nustad, Danielle DeRose. Attentive to the spiral of excitement and joy, but also to the interpretations of what we felt was going on. The musical experience is a catalyst for connecting to our shared humanity (and expressing it); what each person finds in that experience is a testament to what they value, what they seek, what they discern. Just a testament that humanity is a practice of collective flow, a multi-dimensional work in progress and not a recipe, not a product or a final destination. …looking forward to more. In my research I talk about the concept of 'Actionable Permissibility' referring to not just granting people permission to behave in ways that are more true to them - e.g. "This is a space where you can sing, dance and express yourself" – but also to making it actionable – i.e. "Join me. Follow me. Repeat after me". What you provided was a masterclass in this Jurgis Didžiulis and I felt privileged not only to witness it but also to participate in it. Loved every moment 🧡
