Over 1.5 billion kilos or 3.37 billion pounds of waste handled under Blue Ocean Program Remember we only have one Ocean 🌊 NGO nonprofit organization kkelly@oceanintegrity.org oceanintegrity.org +1-614-800-2165
Please welcome Takefumi Hosomi the new CEO of Ocean Integrity Japan 🇯🇵 Born in Hawaii and grew up in New York City most of my life. Moved to Tokyo in 2011 to start working for Audi Japan at their head office. Soon after I was sent to Ingolstadt, Germany at Audi's HQ as representative for our Japan team supporting the Sales Planning Division. After working in the automotive industry for few years, I decided to move to Manila, Philippines. As I always had a passion to start my own business and build something from scratch, I started my own F&B and trading business. Throughout the 4 years living in Manila, I opened a Modern Japanese cafe, speakeasy bar, Japanese fried chicken chain managing 15 employees. From there I utilized the networks I built with several other restaurant and cafe owners, leading to then set up a trading business importing authentic Japanese Matcha from Kyoto. I saw a great opportunity as people in the Philippine's love their coffee and Matcha was a perfect alternative for it as it also contains caffeine without the crash. Once I started importing large volumes, I was soon called as the Matcha Man from Japan supplying to several restaurants and cafes in Manila. In 2020 I decided to sell my business in Philippines and returned back to Japan for a new opportunity. This was to incorporate the new entity Logistics Plus Japan and build my own team in order to expand LP's global presence in Japan. From starting off with 3 employees we have now become a team of 9 members. Our warehouse business grew from 250 sqm space to now 8,000 sqm. We are not only handling LP's global customers but won large projects such as Zara and Uber Eats in Japan. Our team is growing rapidly and this is just the start for us. We strongly value the passion we have in taking on the extra mile for our customers. Most importantly, to have the go getter mentality that we can always find a solution to resolve the problems that our customers face in logistics and supply chain. Joining the Ocean Integrity Group I see as being a game changer in the Ocean Plastic removal space. Ocean Integrity is a powerhouse in this space and it’s no nonsense B2B attitude is the only way forward. Uniting business and giving them value for money is a must, at the same time for filling all a companies #esg & #csr needs. Alin Harbuz, Managing Director of China Premium Sourcing: After three years, I was finally able to return to China, my home for six years, 2014 - 2020. I am not denying the news which says the economy is not doing as well as before and there is a certain unemployment rate, especially among the youth. What I can certainly say though are as follows: - Meide Group (which I have just visited) employees work 6 days per week every two weeks; benefit? Their salaries are double compared to any other company in their industry. - The staff at Canton Fair attend the fair from 9:30 to 17:30, then work on sending offers to the prospective customers, until 22:00 or 23:00. Benefit? High sales commission. - Chinese still actively seek international cooperation opportunities, no matter the industry. In conclusion, China is still a vibrant country. There are many opportunities and Chinese are still friendly and hospitable to expats. One can find excuses for anything; success, though, is for those who seek for it!
