Caron has been with the Structures Group for our whole 15 years, she lives in Pennington with her husband Wayne. 1) Describe your job in three words. Interesting, varied, fulfilling. 2) What’s the most interesting thing you’re working on right now? Creating an arboretum for future generations. 🌱 3) Best thing about being part of the Structures Team? I feel that I am able to input old fashioned values. 4) Worst thing about being part of the Structures Team? Being told I’m a whirlwind when I arrive in the office. 🌪 5) Who would you most like to swap places with for the day? James Herriot. 6) What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid? One of my goals for WIG - Work is Good is for it to be a company where people are not just a number. After years of working at big companies, I've identified two things that were clearly wrong to me: 1) The way people were treated. 2) The way projects were managed. These companies are too old-fashioned. ❌ They don't respect deadlines. ❌ Quality of deliverables is not a priority. ❌ People are just a number in a spreadsheet. The goal for WIG is still to become a product company. But we can fail at that and be okay. The one thing we CAN'T fail at is becoming a place people enjoy working at. WIG - Work is Good as a company should contribute to its team's well-being and professional satisfaction. We are and will continue to be a company 100% focused on its people. Our revenue and success will be simply a natural consequence of our team's dedication and happiness. This is our thesis. What do you think?

I remember the time when I was working on a challenging project with a diverse team. I was so overwhelmed by the differing opinions and personalities clashing within the team and thought to myself, how will we ever find a common ground? But then, it was time for Holi, the festival of colors. Our team decided to celebrate it together and that was a game-changer. In the midst of colors and joy, there were no titles, no hierarchies. We were just a group of people celebrating life, unity, and diversity. And that's when I realized the true essence of Holi. It's not just about splashing colors or feasting on mouthwatering sweets, it's about unity in diversity, about forgetting our differences and coming together as one. It was a powerful lesson that I learned and has helped me in navigating through the corporate world. I learned to appreciate the diversity within my team and leverage it to our advantage. If you're ever feeling overwhelmed or you're facing conflicts within your team, just remember the spirit of Holi. It might not be about colors in the corporate world, but it's definitely about celebrating and appreciating the unique colors each one of us brings to the table. Just the other day, I hopped on a Zoom call with a team of 15 amazing people from across the globe. We are all working on a project that I'm super pumped about (more on that later!), and this was our first official "meet and greet." The Co-Founder (stay tuned for the big reveal) kicked things off with a fantastic icebreaker: for the next 30 minutes, we each had to introduce ourselves with the phrase "you would know me better if..." Suddenly, the guards melted away. People shared their hobbies, pet peeves, even their silliest quirks. I confessed my worst inability – the ability to cook! It felt real, and it reminded me that knowing who someone is matters just as much as knowing what they do. Bringing this home to Intuition Collective; we've been growing like crazy lately, with lots of new faces joining the team. The "you would know me better if" idea isn't just a fun icebreaker; it's a powerful way to connect and build a truly awesome, high performing team. At some point, knowing your team can be as important as knowing your family. At some point, we are all required to find comfort not just in our homes, but also in our workplaces. At some point, workplaces become our second homes. So let us treat them like a home.
