INSTAGRAM ADSPEND REPORT (JAN-MAR 2024) According to admanGo, Instagram’s adspend reached 519 million in the first quarter of 2024, showing a 32% YOY increase. HSBC emerged as the top advertiser on IG in terms of adspend, while Elva Ni became the top IG KOL in terms of branded content adspend. The report also included various crucial data such as adspend trends, ad type SOV, branded content ratios (Media VS KOL), top categories with the highest adspend and growth rate, rankings of advertisers and KOLs etc. These insights served as valuable references for devising local Instagram advertising market strategies. Our strategy crushed it! We spent 67,000 SR on ads and got a whopping 800,000 SR in sales in just one month! over 4,000 orders and a return on investment (ROI) of 12.5 times our ad spend! But obsticals was there!! TikTok's ad policies made it tough to advertise the product, and advertising accounts kept getting suspended. However, we persevered! Here's what we did: We tweaked our content to follow TikTok's rules. ✅ We expanded to Instagram ads, which worked great! ✅ We boosted our organic content to support the paid ads. ✅ We improved our online store for a smooth customer experience. ✅ We added in mid-month the installment payment option, which really boosted sales! Attended Google's YouTube Master Digital Creatives workshop this week and the two things that stuck with me the most as they were passionately promoting their products were: 1. YouTube Singapore was selling their Masthead for 4000USD per hour (min 3 hrs, rates vary for different organisations) 2. YouTube ads have a lower cost per view compared to TikTok ads because TikTok charges their ads after 1 second of view while YouTube ads are charged after 30 seconds. Definitely interesting to pick up these information, but as marketers it is ultimately up to us to decide whether these channels are effective in achieving our intended campaign objectives.
