Administrator| A young hardworking, talented and ambitious girl with an aim to make a positive impact in our society
Job Hunting can be very stressful especially when you dont know somebody that knows Somebody,Recently I saw a post on the 3 most common challenges first time job seekers face, 1.Lack of experience: Most jobs list "experience" as a requirement..how can you get a job to gain experience when you need experience to get the job..How are we going to gain that experience when most recruiters won't even give the resume the time of the day,Which is one of the reason job seekers lie on their resume.I believe that first time job seekers when taught can be better than some with million years of experience but are so relaxed maybe because they have someone backing them and thinks the organization is their birthright.

Job seekers: Hang in there! While job hunting, I'd occasionally see posts where people shared their frustration and lack of success with job hunting after X months and Y applications. Although TOTALLY valid, these posts often demoralized me in my own search, making it feel even more like there was no end in sight. So here's how "long" it was between when I was informed I'd been laid off and when I received a verbal job offer: -5 months and 6 days -8 weeks of severance -14 weeks on unemployment -111 job applications -35-40 interviews at various levels -5 companies at which I made "final round" interviews -3 companies where I was the "runner-up" candidate It's difficult, and painful, and a totally sucky process, but it won't last forever. Keep on keeping on, you've got this!!
