At this rate, the bill could become law before Parliament dissolves in May 2024. In order to raise awareness about this urgent issue, the Campaign for Free Expression, Intelwatch, and the Daily Maverick will have a webinar-based panel discussion on 5 December 2023 from 12:00 to 13:00.  Registration is free. This is an excellent opportunity to engage with other professionals to learn and to have a candid discussion about food safety and quality assurance challenges or closing gaps. Today's food safety challenges are not random, but rather a consequence of past actions (or inactions). The gaps are often precipitated by the adoption of technology-driven improvements into manual operations and through the consumer or manufacturer demands for foods and ingredients.
