So many times we bias ourselves towards either the short game or the long game, depending on our personalities and our career experiences. Our power & value lies in the “and” or the “both”! For me, being a kind of guy who lives in the moment and loves to react to the challenges in front of him, having a strategic way to collect my thoughts and then review in the bigger picture is critical. I developed a Google form to help me trigger introspection, collect my deeper thoughts, and then surface the “meta” that will help inform my long game. After 5 years and over 380 entries, I have a treasure trove to mine. Partnered with a locally hosted AI RAG Mistral model, I’m experimenting on how to best drive results on purpose and focus on the highest and best of who I am.
