NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC) is building the world’s largest green hydrogen plant in Oxagon, and has received its first wind turbines at Port of NEOM in Oxagon. Vishal Wanchoo, Oxagon CEO, commented: “The arrival of the first major equipment for NGHC is a watershed moment for Oxagon as we build an advanced and clean industrial ecosystem; and a major milestone for the Port, as we continue to expand our operational capabilities.” David Edmondson, NGHC CEO, added: “This is the first of a series of major equipment deliveries arriving over the next year. It is a major milestone in NGHC’s journey to becoming a leader in green hydrogen, and a major step forward in Saudi Arabia and the wider region’s energy transition.” The milestone underscores the rapid advancement taking place in NEOM’s reimagined industrial city as the construction of production facilities, such as NGHC, move beyond the groundworks phase. ☀ Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. Agrees to Supply Solutions to NEOM Green Hydrogen Project 🌿 Sungrow has announced it will supply inverter skid solutions for a 600-tonne per day of carbon-free hydrogen project at the planned city of Neom. The 2.2GW PV plant will be the largest single-site utility-scale PV plant in the Middle East, designed for the NEOM green hydrogen project in Saudi Arabia, for the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company (NGHC). The company signed a contract with Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to supply the solutions for the project, which is expected to be producing up to 600 tonnes of hydrogen by the end of 2026, marking a significant milestone to advance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s 2030 Vision for a clean and sustainable future. Sungrow previously signed a contract with L&T to supply 400MWh energy storage systems with a DC capacity of 536/600MWh to the Neom green hydrogen project.
