🌈 To celebrate Pride Month, our employee resource group, PRISM, assembled 100 swag bags for our LGBTQ+ associates and allies! Group members filled them with relevant items -- such as a first aid kit and PRISM-branded silicone bracelet -- to make attending outdoor events both stylish and safe. North America and Europe PRISM employees are already enjoying them. #Pride2024 #PrideMonth

Ferreira is deeply committed to supplier diversity and actively engages in this practice, exemplified by our attendance at events aimed at connecting with diverse suppliers. Supplier diversity, a vital business practice, involves including businesses owned by individuals from traditionally underrepresented or underserved groups in our procurement processes. Our active pursuit of diverse suppliers, who are at least 51% owned and operated by such individuals, extends to various classifications, including MBEs, WBEs, SBEs, and other minority-owned businesses, such as those led by LGBTQ+, veterans, and persons with disabilities. We reinforce our dedication to fostering an inclusive and equitable business environment by participating in events and networking opportunities. Use the link below to learn more about how to incorporate more diverse suppliers. https://ow.ly/obQM50PXH3u #ferreirafamily #teamblue #buildingtheufuturewithpride #constructioninclusionweek #inclusionmatters #diversityandinclusion #dei #supplierdiversity #mbe #certifiedmbe #events #deievents

Business Value Advisor - Splunk - The key to enterprise resilience. Let me help you Splunk it out of the park!
Thanks for having me including Ciara Fayle, Les, Sam, Craig Bates and the rest of the team. The Australian LGBTQ+ Inclusion Awards is an event celebrating and awarding Australia's top organisations for LGBTQ+ inclusion based on the results of the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI). The AWEI (https://lnkd.in/grc8nwGy) The AWEI now stands as the definitive national benchmark on LGBTQ workplace inclusion and comprises the largest and only national employee survey designed to gauge the overall impact of inclusion initiatives on organisational culture as well as identifying and non-identifying employees. The Index drives best practice in Australia and sets a comparative benchmark for Australian employers across all sectors. For this reason alone, the Index has to be comprehensive and rigorous. The work compiled annually by employers submitting for the Index is a testament to the importance of LGBTQ inclusion with their current D&I initiatives. #PrideInDiversity #AustralianLGBTQInclusionAwards #AWEI #AWEI2024 #bettertogether #cisco #splunk

Reacting to 2023’s backlashes and boycotts, some brands have avoided Pride 2024 despite a clear commercial and moral imperative: globally, LGBTQ+ spending power rose by 20.5% between 2019 and 2023. But others are winning fans by digging in, surfacing hidden histories, creating sanctuaries, centring family (biological and chosen) and taking an educative role. Equality Advocate | LGBTQ+ Champion | Northern Power Women's Future List | Speaker | Multipotentialite
I was delighted to speak on this panel about LGBTQ+ inclusion in tech at Adobe, alongside IBM, Microsoft and Stonewall. Some key takeaways: - Learn about experiences that are different from your own. Who aren't you hearing from? Intentionally diversify your feeds, listen, learn and amplify. - Don't let fear of getting things wrong lead to inaction. Fail fast, move forward and be an active ally for marginalised communities. - Be aware of cultural sensitivity - what works in the UK wont necessarily work elsewhere and safety and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people is paramount. - Micro-inclusions are powerful - normalising the use of pronouns, using gender neutral language in policies, having gender neutral facilities in workspaces can make a huge difference. - Instead of LGBTQ+ folks "coming out", workplaces should create a safe, inclusive environment in which LGBTQ+ people feel able to "invite people in". What other takeaways would you add to this list Liz Ward, Alexia Konstantinidi, John Lilly, Tim Jarman, Emma White?
Thank you to Adobe for hosting us all last week at the event Adobe and Stonewall Celebrate Pride in Tech, where we discussed the importance of LGBTQ+ inclusion in the tech industry. A huge thanks in particular to Rylan Phi-Long Holey, Emma White, and all the panelists: Tim Jarman, Alexia Konstantinidi, John Lilly, Amy Lynch, Liz Ward. We are best known as a campaigning human rights organisation, and we know that real change is about more than policy. We believe in practical change-making. And that’s why we have worked with leading businesses from a diverse range of sectors for more than twenty years, supporting them in their inclusion journey.

As a Relationship Manager at Workplace Pride, Robert Corvers takes great pride in the work he does for our members and his community. Recently, Robert had the privilege to share his personal story and expertise on LGBTIQ+ inclusion in the workplace during a panel discussion at Squire Patton Boggs. 📽 You can view the video below. This opportunity was not just important; it was necessary. Globally, we are witnessing the resurgence of anti-gay laws in countries like Ghana, Russia, and even the US. Unfortunately, this often translates into increased discrimination and microaggressions against the LGBTIQ+ community. It is crucial for employers to not only acknowledge this issue but also take action. Prioritising inclusion aligns seamlessly with business objectives. It fosters a win-win situation – not only do satisfied employees result, but it also contributes to higher profits in the long run. #WorkplacePride #LGBTHistoryMonth #InclusiveWorkplace #LGBTIQ
As we reflect on this recent LGBTQ+ event filled with passionate, open and honest discussions, with actionable commitments for progress, we look forward to continuing these important conversations - ensuring our firm will always be a place where everyone feels valued and respected. Huge thanks to the incredibly inspiring panel, who empowered the audience with their dedication to supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
