Hey friends, Just a quick update: I'm still on the hunt for my next opportunity (plus, I promised my wife I'd post again)! If you know of any roles in IT, e-commerce, marketing, or creative design and development, please keep me in mind. With experience across everything IT, web and graphic design, and social media marketing, I'm eager to bring my skills to a new team, or small business. I'm open to full-time, part-time, project-based, or even "hey, can you fix this?" type gigs! I'm fun to work with - really... I'm a peach! Feel free to reach out if you have any leads or just want to catch up. Thanks for all the support – it means a lot! #JobSearch #ITProfessional #Marketing #ECommerce #CreativeDesign

Nearly 9 months ago, I chose to leave a well-paying position as Director of IT at a wonderful company. The work was challenging and the people were amazing. But my my wife and I made the decision that we needed a change and some time to refocus on our family and 3 growing young boys. And I needed some time to re-discover myself and what that looked like without the... well, the job. So began my sabbatical. And it has been amazing. I chaperoned every school field trip. I was at every Lacrosse game. I volunteered at my boys’ school. I was substitute teaching a bit. I’m present again! I’m cooking meals. I’m spending time with my wife again. We are reimagining the day-dreams that once filled most of our conversations. I’m back into the hobbies that once defined me before I was the IT Guy. We intended for my sabbatical to last 4-6 months, through the end of our boys’ school year. Those months were nearing their end when my wife and I made one more decision. Let’s extend it to include the summer. With school out, we hit the road. We spent half the summer away from home. We had a wonderful summer of road trips and time spent together building memories. School’s back in session. Our family is stronger. I feel energized. I feel confident. I’m ready for my next work-home! What’s next?

Look for Google Home and Siri support in the coming months... #iot #alexa #googlehome #siri
