🚀 CVPR 2024 Was a Blast 🚀 It was a personal win to see so much Voxel51 orange at CVPR this year! We've come a long way Voxel51 since the open source launch of #FiftyOne in August 2020. https://fiftyone.ai Here are some highlights of what I observed at CVPR - The vision community is awesome! 2700+ papers, 10k+ physical attendees, an awesome art show, and more. What growth in the last decade. - Not surprising that 3D and Video seem to be the application areas of focus. Amazing work along those veins. I personally loved the two orals on wednesday morning that focused on shape relighting. - The FiftyOne message that one must consider their data as a dynamic component of visual AI research alongside the models seems to be resonating quite strongly. Many of the people who visited the Voxel51 booth were able to resonate with that message through personal experiences. - The landscape in tooling for computer vision is heating up, well beyond the classical annotation and experiment tracking. Although we were first to market, we now see a half dozen or more tools that try to provide similar functionality. This is a awesome! A rising tide lifts all boats...but it's awesome that #FiftyOne remains the best, most advanced and, by far, the most flexible with the largest userbase---recently passed 2 million downloads. With a new emphasis on ML innovation at Voxel51, I'm seriously looking forward to the coming months! ...and next year's CVPR! Finally, we're hiring on the ML side, engineerings, advocates, and research scientists. Check it out https://voxel51.com/jobs
