I believe that it is important to stay curious. After working together with Vivianne (Jabbour) Gordon-Pullar, our Chief Compliance Officer, on a number of topics, I was curious about what the role actually entails. This week, I had the opportunity to shadow her for a day. It was fascinating to see the wide range of topics that were addressed, from the fascinating to challenging to more mundane. Compliance is not a group of bureaucrats or a police force, but rather colleagues who care deeply about the business and want to partner to ensure business is done in a compliant way. It’s about finding solutions while protecting the company and its employees. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have had a short glimpse into the daily work of our Chief Compliance Officer and the Compliance team. I have even more respect and gratitude for their work.
