Happy Father’s Day to my silver fox, the unsung hero of Gameday Social Apparel Co.® The market analyst (aka: fervent follower of sports), motorhome driver, construction manager, but most importantly, the dad who keeps my three most treasured earthly gifts thriving, educated, transported, nourished and loved with an amount of intention that has given me the freedom to build a company. It all started just a few years ago in June, with a roadtrip to Fargo to pitch a retailer l admired and had reached out to on a whim. No business name yet, we (“we” was definitely “I” 🙋🏻♀️) had one college license, a few t-shirts, and the willingness (foolishness 🤠) to enter a complex, competitive as hell industry and not look back. There have been countless trials and tribulations since, but as we prepare for our fourth official fall launch, a dear friend and mentor said: “Jael, you’ve only scratched the surface of what you’ll do.” 🙌🏻 … I don’t know yet what that looks like, but I do know that my team’s relentless commitment to excellence, innovation and hustle, and an unwillingness to accept anything less from eachother truly and deeply excites me for the future. Whenever I’m asked to share the story of Gameday Social Apparel Co.® the parts I find that resonate with people are talking about failure. Reframing it, not allowing it to be definitive, and moving forward. It always comes back to my favorite verse; John 15:2 about pruning. So enjoyable to talk with Alison R.
