This will be incredible for the Formula 1 brand on a global scale. Having a Hollywood film bring a heightened sense of the drama of F1 to mainstream audiences will undoubtedly increase their own audience. Just like when Top Gun led to an increase in Americans signing up to the Navy, this will bring American audiences to F1, and increase visibility on a global scale through that Hollywood lens. The reality of F1 is that it isn’t the most exciting sport in the world - in my opinion. But their marketing and content creation outside of the racing continues to increase their audience.
