In the rapidly evolving world of imaging informatics, it can take a village to face industry challenges and maintain performance. Thanks to events like Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), industry leaders have the opportunity to network and discuss how to solve some of the most pressing issues healthcare systems currently face. Tune in as our President Morris Panner discusses this very topic with Radiology Partners' Matthew Hayes, MBA CIIP. #MinutesWithMorris

Scanners and quality in radiology are/is getting faster and faster, as well as better and better. But why does the reporting still consume so much time? Why are still errors in the reports? Why are some of them wrongly coded? Why does a patient (and often the doctor) not fully understand the report? These are questions we‘ve discussed during #RSNA2023 in Chicago over the last 5 days. And the good thing is: there are answers. #RSNai #NextLevelRadiologyWorkflow #changingthegame #thefutureofhealthcare Neo Q Quality in Imaging GmbH , Prof. Dr. med. Decarbonizing Healthcare - How Green Radiology Can Make A Difference Imaging equipment consumes large amounts of energy. Three CT scanners and four MRI machines consume the same amount of energy in one year as 850 people! One MRI consumes enough energy to power 12 U.S. homes. Siemens CEO Barbara Humpton recently hosted her Optimistic Outlook podcast and asked Dr. Sean Woolen, Assistant Professor for the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging, Director of Green Radiology Initiative at @UCSF and me to join in a discussion about opportunities to reduce the carbon footprint in healthcare in the area of imaging. Take a look at our discussion "Green Radiology and decarbonizing healthcare": https://lnkd.in/g5NTaaam

Clinical research illustrating the benefits of Agfa's Smart Rotate AI helping Rad Techs work more efficient! Download the Frost and Sullivan whitepaper for details. Studies were carried out between 2020 and 2022 at Rush University Medical Center, in Illinois, and AdventHealth Diagnostic Imaging Center, in Florida. At Rush University Medical Center, manual rotations were reduced to 4-5% of exposures. Manual interventions were reduced on average by 91% for the fixed DR room, and 76% for the mobile DR system. As a result, “SmartRotate™ functionality results in 20 hours of bedside imaging workload savings per machine annually”, said the white paper. For AdventHealth Diagnostic Imaging Center, after SmartRotate™ was activated a significantly higher proportion of images required rotation, because the radiographers are relieved from the burden to position the DR panel in the correct orientation, according to Frost & Sullivan. https://bit.ly/3Ct2LSY #artificialintelligence #digitalradiography #frostandsullivan
