Initially focused on opening up channels to Mattei’s existing customers in the UK and Italy, the partnership will leverage new opportunities for our PRISMA tech through Mattei’s global distribution channels. What does this mean for Mattei’s customers? Siemens Energy has a fully automated PEM electrolyser factory in Berlin launched in November of last year which allows them to accommodate higher capacity projects such as 50, 100 or 200 MW, Stefan Engelshove tells us. Siemens Energy has chosen for PEM electrolysis based on the overall capex and opex over the life of the project. But it is also important to look where is the location of the project, the integration etc which is one of the reasons they have also decided to develop their own alkaline technology. Different solutions for different situations. The other part they focus on during the Hydrogen Technology Europe Expo event is on compressors, where there turbo compressor can deal with the large volume of hydrogen coming from larger hydrogen plants. Siemens Energy can address the entire value chain starting from the grid, the transformers, electrolysers, compressors and the h2 turbines. The OUTFOX project's primary objective is to revolutionize #SOEL technologies. We're committed to removing scale limitations and showcasing SOEL's potential as the preferred option for green hydrogen production. Through extensive research up to the 80kW scale and the optimization of cell and system designs, OUTFOX aims to equip SOEL for large-scale industrial systems over 100MW. Our ultimate goal is to achieve a significantly reduced Levelized Cost of Hydrogen at €2.7/kg H2 while ensuring suitability for mass manufacturing lines.
