. 𝟏.𝟑 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 !!! YES, that is the number of customers HSBC’s Global Commercial Bank (GCMB) serves in more than 50 markets, from small enterprises to large international companies. I could throw other statistics at you but I think this one is enough to showcase the prowess of our CMB franchise. It was thus a 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝟐𝟓𝟎+ 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐌𝐁 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 - 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐲. Being back in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 , my home away from home, was the added bonus. One central message ran through the 3-day conference … 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭🤝, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞🏁, 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭👊. And we truly did ! From a 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐞𝐭📈 to 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 💨 to 𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧💡, the 2,345 minutes together were energetic and enlightening but equally important, fun. Each day ended with us feeling ebullient and confident ! 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 🙏🏼𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐫, 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐤 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠, a core competency for HSBC and a strategic focus. While the past few years have been transformational in more ways than one, I left the conference with one clear message, “𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞” 𝑨𝒔 𝑻𝒉𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝑬𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒅 “𝑶𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒏𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒔. El pasado 23 de mayo, el programa de Jóvenes Financieras en colaboración con el área nacional de tesorería tuvieron el honor de organizar la conferencia titulada "El viaje de una mujer hacia el liderazgo en la banca corporativa". Tuvimos el privilegio de contar con la presencia de la Mtra. Inés Vargas Barrera quien nos inspiró compartiendo sus logros y desafíos que ha superado en su camino hacia convertirse en Directora Ejecutiva de la Banca Corporativa para México en HSBC. Sin duda, fue una conferencia que nos recordó que siempre estamos a un paso de convertirnos en nuestra mejor versión, si así lo decidimos. Fue un placer contar con una líder tan destacada en el sector financiero. Estamos más cerca de eliminar la brecha de género y demostrar que lo que realmente importa es hacer con pasión aquello que nos motiva, independientemente del género.

En sus distintos roles, ha manejado equipos multiculturales en más de 20 países, atendiendo necesidades estratégicas y financieras de grandes clientes corporativos. Licenciada en Contaduría Pública por el ITESM y Maestra en Alta Dirección por el IPADE, Inés es responsable de dirigir la banca corporativa para HSBC en México, lidera una iniciativa de desarrollo de talento femenino en la banca mayorista a nivel Latino América y ha sido mentora y sponsor de múltiples jóvenes talentosos.

Today we closed the PI Plannig of 1Q 2024, three days were we working in collaboration with IT and Functions areas to have clarity and priority in the Wholesale developments.
