US and APAC companies often have distributors in LATAM (Latin America) because LATAM is a region with great business potential and growth opportunities. Having local distributors allows these companies to enter and expand their presence in the LATAM market more efficiently. Why do US / APAC companies need an Account Manager based in the US? There are a few reasons: 1. The US is typically the headquarters or main operational center for many multinational companies. It serves as a convenient hub for managing global operations, including overseeing the LATAM distributors. 2. Having an account manager based in the US allows for better coordination and communication between the headquarters and the LATAM distributors. Having someone in the US who can handle the day-to-day interactions and bridge the communication gap is highly beneficial. 3. The US tends to have more resources, expertise, and experience in managing international operations. An account manager based in the US can leverage these resources to provide the necessary support and guidance to the LATAM distributors. 4. LATAM is often a key market for US and APAC companies, so it makes sense to have a presence there for strategic reasons. This allows the account manager to gather market intelligence, stay updated on trends, and develop better strategies for the LATAM market.
