💡 To provide an #automotive engine plant with acoustic analysis, a retrofitting was on the agenda for an automobile manufacturer. However, the large number of different signal transmitters made #dataacquisition and analysis difficult, while the acquisition speeds of up to 100 kHz also posed a challenge. 🔎 This is where the iba system showed its strength. ➡ Swipe for more information Read the full #successstory here: https://lnkd.in/eXA3UY-e

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗦𝗔𝗘 𝗝𝟭𝟵𝟯𝟵? The network protocol SAE J1939 describes communication on a CAN bus in commercial vehicles for the transmission of diagnostic data and control information. The protocol was defined by the international Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and operates on the Physical Layer with CAN-Highspeed according to ISO 11898. Its primary application is in the field of powertrains and chassis for commercial vehicles. This protocol is used in heavy vehicles for both on-road and off-road operations (agricultural and construction machinery). What can you expect from CAN SAE J1939? • A multimaster system with decentralized network management. • Support for up to 254 logical nodes. • Information is described as parameters (signals) and grouped into parameter groups (PGs) on four data pages. • Each parameter group is identified by a unique number, the Parameter Group Number (PGN). #sensortechnology #Novotechnik

If You are in an Automotive Domain Then You Definitely Heard What is J1939 Communication Protocol System? Here, I share an Pdf Regarding J1939 protocol 👇👇 SAE-J1939 protocol is a software standard defined by the Society of the Automotive Engineers, SAE-J1939 protocol standard is defined for the applications in commercial vehicles for CAN (Controller Area Network) bus. This protocol was made for use in Car and Heavy-duty Truck in the USA for the communication and diagnostic purposes in the vehicle components (ECU). But gradually it spreads all over the world due to its features and compatibility, It is the recommended practice that defines which and how the data is communicated between Electronic Control Units (ECU) within a vehicle network. Typical controllers are the Engine, Brake, Transmission, etc. #J1939 #CAN #automotive #sae #lin #automotiveindustry #automotiveengineering

Non-destructive vehicle diagnostics are so important when it comes to a fast and low cost diagnostics. Knowing how to set-up and use an automotive oscilloscope is a game changer when it comes to diagnostics. In this experiment I wanted to know if we could externally view how all injectors were functioning. I knew we could check them electrically, but what about mechanically? I used both the Pico-Scope accelerometer from their NVH kit and Rotkees direct injection tester. Results in the linked document. What could be done different? There is a lot of noise in the injector voltage signals (we can see the other two injectors shared internally to the ECU so I doubt that can be changed). Keegan Hunter Josh Tollefson Justin Miller

23.11.23. English Electric Designers This a rather pathetic Germanic to English translation on how a motor actually works. English Babble talk I call it - because everyone in the world realizes that Americans have lost the art of electronics and the theory of motor design. Thanks to Neutron Jack Welch and Atom Smashing CEO’s off shoring jobs, for short term profits. Once a technology is gone it really cannot be bought back. Not Media Cult Leader Donald Trump that shoots from the hip and not the Political Lawyer Joe Biden that uses a huge committee to make a equally bad decision. Westinghouse was a leader of electric machines in America. When arrived at Westinghouse in 1984, nearly 40 years ago - I thought the Country lost the art of making motors. A few years later Dr. Lee Kilgore after Westinghouse went bankrupt made similar remarks about Americans. This article is written by a company that makes electric vehicle motors in Europe. I also worked for a Japanese manufacturer in Houston that assembled EV motors for the Ford Motors. Lawyers like Biden would read this in English and think wow, America is enter the EV manufacturering business. I challenge Biden or Trump if this nation still has one qualified EV motor designer. That can actually speak English coherently how a electrical EV motor actually works.
200 Nm (left) compared to 700 Nm (right)... a modest increase in diameter results in a substantial increase in torque. Axial flux geometry produces a cubic increase in torque for an increase in diameter (torque ∝ R³), whereas in a radial flux machine there is only a quadratic increase in torque (torque ∝ R² x length) These motors will be featured at the CTI SYMPOSIUM - Automotive • Powertrain • Systems in Berlin in early December. Meanwhile, please feel free to contact us for more information at www.traxial.com. #CTISymposium #AutomotiveInnovation #CTI_sym #drivesystems #drivetrain #futuremobility

Introduction to automotive electronics testing standards and protection Automotive electromagnetic compatibility international standard ISO ISO 11451 "Road Vehicles—Electrical Interference Produced by Narrowband Radiated Electromagnetic Energy—Complete Vehicle Test Method" This standard is a vehicle test method for resistance to electromagnetic interference produced by narrowband electromagnetic radiation sources. ISO 11452 "Road Vehicles—Electrical Interference Produced by Narrowband Radiated Electromagnetic Energy—Parts Test Method" This standard is a test method for components that are resistant to electromagnetic interference produced by narrowband electromagnetic radiation sources. ISO 7637 "Road Vehicles—Electrical Disturbance Caused by Conduction and Coupling" This standard describes some common transient interference signals that are often generated by electrical equipment in automobiles, and test methods that cause interference to the equipment under test through conduction and coupling. ISO 10650 "Road vehicles - Electrical interference caused by electrostatic discharge" This standard involves the impact of electrostatic discharge generated when the human body comes into contact with the vehicle on vehicle electronic devices.
