❓ Do you think that listening to audiobooks on the subway or spending 30 minutes a day on social media is good for your resilience? Even if it feels like it at the moment, the answer is no. Listening to music, meditating or just looking at the air for 5 minutes is much more valuable for you and your resilience. 🎶💭 As a basic element of our extensive HSE Learning Campus, we held the (Self) Resilience training last week at our campus in Ismaning. In a world full of change and challenges, I believe (self)resilience is more than just a buzzword - it's a vital skill 🌍✨ It helps us overcome setbacks, manage stress and emerge stronger from difficult situations. ❓How do you approach resilience in your organisation? #resilience #selfdevelopment #MindsetMatters #HSEcommunity #learninganddevelopment #neverstoplearning #hr #trainingandenablement

👂 Auditory Learning Styles 🦻 This is when hearing is the predominant way of learning. This is especially helpful in traditional teaching as the ‘chalk and talk’ approach favours these pupils. They may say phrases like ‘I hear what you’re saying’ or ‘that sounds good to me’. Listening to music may need to be present to help learning or absolute silence may be preferable. Audiobooks or recordings of their own voice may be helpful to revise from, or YouTube videos with great audio accompaniment should work to concrete learning. We all have tasks we tend to put off. I’ve found that using “Temptation Bundling”, makes a world of difference. Here’s how I do it: 1. Emails and Music: Replying to emails can be a chore, so I motivate myself by listening to my favorite playlist while tackling those emails. It makes the process much more enjoyable. 2. Learning and Latte: Staying updated with the marketing industry can sometimes be daunting. So, I’ve started treating myself to a cup of latte when I’m reading professional articles or attending webinars. This makes the process pleasant. 3. Cleaning and Audiobooks: House chores can pile up, but I pair them with listening to exciting audiobooks or podcasts. This turns a mundane task into something I look forward to. Temptation bundling pairs something you need to do with something you love, making it easier to get things done. How do you stay productive? Feel free to share your tips! #Productivity #TemptationBundling #WorkLifeBalance #Motivation

Did you struggle with New Year's resolutions this year? They can often feel like an impossible quest a week in... Yes I know it's February but it's not too late to reflect on your approach, how often do we set achievable and motivating goals at work but not for ourselves? Why not try adopting a coaching mindset and using the classic GROW model as your sword and shield and gently give yourself something to work towards? Mine is... Goal: Read 12 new books in 2024 (one a month) Options: Buy and read actual paper books, listen to audiobooks, cheat a bit and watch film adaptions Reality: Time poor, too much to get done at work and home, will not actually have time to sit and read... Way forward: Audiobooks when commuting And now I have a goal I'm actually looking forward to! What personal goal are you looking forward to achieving this year?

Have you ever noticed how much our surroundings shape who we are and how we see the world? It's not just about the food we eat; it's also about what we're feeding our minds. Try switching off the TV once in a while and diving into books that align with your ambitions. And why not turn your daily commute into a learning session? Pop on some audiobooks that can help you grow while you're on the go. No matter what hurdle you're facing—be it money troubles, relationship issues, confidence struggles, or battling anxiety or depression—chances are, there's a book out there waiting to offer some valuable insights. . . . #personalgrowth #personaldevelopment #reading #freereinlife #astridarmstrong #workfromanywhere #PortableBusiness #WorkOnline

15 minutes a day can change your life! Yet, if reading is NOT easy & is NOT enjoyable, which is true for nearly 60% of adults, then consider doing what Scott did and empower your reading skills with scientifically tested and proven highly effective programs that empower reading, spelling and comprehension (listening or reading) for adults too. For example, this is Scott’s story of how an IT professional in his 50’s empowered his literacy skills and now can read more, learn more and do more, with less effort and in less time. Yet, one of the largest impacts on Scott was not just improved literacy and more efficient and more high level work performance, but also his improved self-confidence, empowered self-esteem and the realization that there never was anything “wrong” with his brain, he had never received “evidence-based by RCTs” literacy instruction. The human brain only advances its skills best by one scientifically tried and true method, experience-dependent neural plasticity fueled by RCT tested evidence-based training programs. This means with the right training “experiences” with scientifically proven to be highly effective “evidence-based” programs, then the human brain can build stronger and more efficient neural networks that are the basis for empowered reading, spelling, writing, comprehension and much more. All adults who still struggle to read & spell can take control of your skills & abilities and empower them! Just like Scott did in his 50’s: https://lnkd.in/eAx4-cnF
