HR Global has organized traditional job fairs for many years, but they are becoming less effective in today's fast-paced, digital world. Candidates become discouraged when they attend an event lacking meaningful interactions and where recruiters don’t conduct interviews. In short, we are swarmed with job fairs from universities, government and private organizations, but they are ineffective, and here’s why: ·      Company goals: usually companies don’t have many open positions, so their goal is basically employment branding and replenishment of their database. ·      No hiring: from experience I can tell you there is no actual hiring during job fairs. ·      No interviews: impersonal interactions with recruiters are the norm. Yes, they will receive your resume, but that’s it. Company swag is cool, but that won’t get you a job. ·      Limited reach: job fairs are often confined to specific locations, limiting both employers and job seekers. ·      Time-Consuming: attending a job fair requires a significant time commitment, often without guaranteed results. ·      Outdated Methods: The traditional resume exchange lacks the dynamic interaction of modern recruitment tools. HR Global offers alternatives to traditional job fairs: Virtual Career Fairs: they allow broader participation, save time, and offer interactive features like live chats, webinars and resources for candidates. We organize Networking Events which are industry-specific meetups and conferences to facilitate targeted connections. We combine this with social media recruitment enabling direct engagement to showcase your company culture.
