“Time of armour is over!” Interesting quote we are getting told regularly. “If we got hit by a grenade, we die anyhow”. Tough statements, when we discuss with soldiers. This makes us reflecting our vehicle strategy. Do we need a lot of protection for our main mission: defending NATO territory? Probably not. However, we conclude that protection against infantry will stay an issue. So we disagree that light forces don’t need protection anymore. But we agree that light forces only need light protection. It's been 5 years since I retired the uniform, and one of the biggest fears was where am I going to fit in? I can see now that one of my gifts is taking that fear away from other Veterans as they Transition. Veterans you must Own your Transition!! @transition Just a bit of advice. 1. Take time to find out who you are. 2. Find a Veteran or Veterans who understands. 3. Find Veteran Organizations in your City to connect with. 4. Share your fears with those you trust. 5. For Veterans Day on 06/15/2024 More than ten million women and men have served in the Bundeswehr since its foundation in 1959 - whether as professional and temporary soldiers or as military service. Around 500,000 of them have risked their lives in foreign missions. The Veterans' Day is intended, on the one hand, to honor their service and, on the other hand, to ensure that awareness of the work of the soldiers in the population grows. Already in the service of the soldiers, it becomes clear what they are willing to do: "I swear/veat to faithfully serve the Federal Republic of Germany and to bravely defend the right and freedom of the German people." Soldiers belong in the middle of society and should be appropriately appreciated for their service and achievements not only on Veterans Day. Top-trained, reliable and resilient, former soldiers as new employees are also a real asset for companies. Unfortunately, this potential is not yet recognized and used by all companies. I did my job as a Chief Petty Officer (CPO)at the German Navy. I did my job in the training of the next generation of executives on the sailing training ship "Gorch Fock" as well as in the context of four mandated foreign assignments. From my own experience, I know about the challenges that former soldiers often have when entering civilian professional life. We can all contribute to making life a little easier for former soldiers after their service. Maybe there are other former soldiers who would like to honor the veterans with me!

We owe a debt of gratitude to all US Military Veterans. Too many veterans are never fully recognized or appreciated for their sacrifice. Worse, millions of veterans are unaware of VA benefits they may legally, ethically, and morally qualify for. Veterans have options for filing VA benefit claims. These options include: 1) working directly with the VA. 2) working with a Veteran Service Organization 3) working with a company like Trajector Medical that specializes in gathering medical evidence to support the claim(s) being made by the veteran.
